Ookami was still staring at the ground, deep in thought about the possibility that he had actually been saved by a god of a realm. Clearly this realm and not his own, but his world was of technology and science. The fact that people were attached in some form or another to satellites in the skies that resembled the astral body at night, which gave them crazy abilities at a price, was so off the wall to the normal population; but somehow throwing Deities into the mix was really creating a barrier for Dust's simple mind. The combination was hysterical, but he just couldn't bring himself to laugh. He reached up, with the slightest flex of his bicep, and pinched the bridge of his nose. Even with the distraction of Divine Intervention, he couldn't help but worry about the beautiful Austrian Assassin.
Wasn't that another mash of words you don't normally think about? Only the Otaku of the country thought of things like that, right? Shock even sounded like the type of name that you gave one of those tight costume wearing female super heroes.
He decided to distract himself, by looking up at the screen Xavier was displaying as he sounded off the names of the places the 8 or so doors lead to. He wasn't counting. The shorter male just finished pointing in the forward direction towards the visible gate they stood closest too, and announced it lead to the Vasty Deep. He was concerned for a moment, that they would open the door and a rush of water would flood the rest of 'The Nexus' as it were called apparently, but then the logic of his mind took over and told him that Omni had more creative ways to kill them off than trapping a single gate.
He came ever close to the mouse on Xavier's shoulder, clearly not seeing her as he was all but laying his strong jaw on the feline based male's shoulder. His scent filled Lycan's nose and unconsciously stored itself in the animal parts of his mind. He was tall enough to see the basic things on his screen, but had to bend his spine to dip closer to see the finer details. His shaggy hair slipped across his bare shoulders, tickling them, and brushed against the Neko's neck and cheek as Wolf invaded his personal space without a second thought. His eyes were trained on the screen of the phone that had on it some smaller details of The Vasty Deep that he hadn't said. Like a town, people, scenery, it had a weather status in the corner, and couple interesting tourist attractions at the top. But what made the bigger male growl, almost like a purr right in his companion's cat ear, was the idea of a beach.
The muscular back curled up to perfect posture so naturally as he brought his eyes back on the door in the near background. It was his first experience with the feeling of pleasure in a long while. That and the idea of pleasure.
What was even more interesting was, he could imagine pleasure. Not just experience it. It was a shadow of what pleasure was, he assumed, but as he imagined laying out in the sun after years in the tundra there was something. He let his hands go from his hips to falling loosely at his sides, side stepping Xavier, and then continued his steps closer to the Gate. He has already made up his mind to go this way, but now he felt he had a reason. Which was as foreign as emotions were to him. "Beach sounds like fun." Was all he had to say on that matter, and let his long legs carry him towards his end goal. He had gruff to his voice, but it lacked anything else at that moment.
