The Dead and the Damned [Great]
#3
Quote:"W-who are you calling a corpse?!" Alice snapped back, until she noticed that the new arrival donned a skeletal figure underneath his robe. "Speak for yourself..." She responded, dipping her head low against her body.

Raal laughed at the comment, a slow chuckle. "I am so much more than a mere corpse. You choose to see with your eyes alone. For a hunter, your perception is lacking." Raal commented, intrigued with the young girl. This... Alice, seemed to be quite a young undead to be speaking in such a manner. It was likely, he mused, that her real age was likely not much different from her apparent one.

Zul'kis stood by his side, quietly commenting. "She be havin' no allies I can see. The girl b' alone. I be smellin' blood on her, though." Zul'kis quietly whispered.

Raal raked his chin. His first instinct - to incinerate the whelp - was spurred on by the pathetic display before him. To beg for her life like this, with an utter lack of dignity... Pathetic. What lacking spirit. But his second, and most prevalent instinct took precedence.
Use every opportunity to your advantage.

So instead of burning the girl to a crisp, he carefully chose his next words. "You truly are a foolish girl." Raal stated with irritation wafting through his voice. "If I were intent on killing you, I certainly wouldn't wait for your permission. and if I planned on killing you slowly, such a childish request would be denied. I do not submit to the whims of weaklings with no will to live." Raal snapped sharply. "Demands are made by those with power." Raal stated.

This got a look of anger directed towards him, and Raal knew he had succeeded in at least avoiding listening to someone cry. Before she could speak, however, Raal pre-emptively cut over her. "The question left now is, do you possess even the will to ask for assistance... And to accept the consequences of making a deal with me. Or..." Raal trailed off, motioning to the sun in the sky above. "Do I leave you here beneath the blazing sun. Your choices are clearly outlined before you. Do you wish to make a deal? Or would you prefer to turn to ash within the light?" Raal asked, lifting one hand. "answer quickly. Before you begin to waste my time."
