Motivation is bullshit. Discipline is the only thing that's real.
Writer's block hits everyone. Discipline gets you through it. Motivation creates excuses.
I completed 48k out of 50k words for nanowrimo and it's pretty much garbage and probably can't be salvaged into a novel. That's disappointing and kind of a bad example, but the point is discipline (and encouragement) got me there. If it's worth salvaging into something, all the better. But motivation would have gotten me maybe to 10k words.
You have to make time to write and write. No reddit, no youtube, no bullshit.
