History

Morene Fellon was born on the planet Terra in the midst of it's industrialized age, in a plane of existence far away from the Omniverse. Morene, being born into the Fellon family, whom used to be a criminal organization in the late evolving age of Europa, one of Terra's largest countries still thriving even in the planet's late future.

The Fellon family took their name to heart, Morene's ancestors being thieves in power, opportunists taking over thrones, and despite their murderous image to the public and a rather dark set of varied superhuman abilities, did happen to stand up to Europan tyrants at most points in their lives. Though their morals were definitely up in the air, even with their seemingly heroic deeds sticking out like a sore thumb through all of their scams and robberies, nobody could deny the Fellon family had built a legacy.

Though decay in numbers, lack of victories and falls in power put the Fellon family into no much more than normal townspeople by the time the industrialized ages came around, it's late ancestry whom included Morene and her parents worked hard towards putting their name back in the spotlight, instead using honor and valor to redeem all the actions of their bloodline's past, Morene's mother and father doing so within the vastly patriotic country known as the Union.

In her childhood years, Morene always looked up to the stories she heard and played in the new interactive media craze, books, and shows on the screens in her house, and the heroes that roamed within those tiny pixels she watched. Though her mother's work as a Union police sheriff and her father's constant hours away at work trips for designing government buildings and security systems kept Morene silent throughout her younger years, she still had all the time to think for herself, her few experiences in reality coming from public school systems and the individuals she met.

Time flew by for Morene, her short-lived years in the Union seeming to fade away from her own two hands. Morene grew up simple, trying her hardest to get a job that she'd hope would benefit others in some way, shape or form. When she wasn't worrying about making use of herself, Morene took her time alone to practice with her mother's guns at any public target range she could find to ease her boredom. Over time, Morene's mind and skills developed, her own morality pushing her to do things, to change things.

When the time came, Morene borrowed one of her mother's rifles, the Fellon family sword, and moved out of the Union with the money she gathered. Morene then flied her way to Europa, her family's homelands. Morene thought it would be appropriate to start her new life helping the few individuals in need on Europan soils, protecting the innocent from the various dangers of dark-magics, monsters of all kinds, and a few demon problems every now and again.

Though the thought worried her at first, awkwardly asking townsfolk under the pale moon of "things going bump in the night" got her plenty of freelance work as a monster hunter, sometimes even pursuing bounties for criminals. Of course, things weren't easy to start off, considering most of the time she had to sneak her way into whatever cave or den she had to clean up, which was pretty small in comparison to other monster hunters that were quite popular among the locals.

Despite a rather rough start and various grieving wounds from monster bites of all kinds, Morene worked her way up, little by little, using her new found efficiency in stealth tactics to her advantage, contrasting the old image of your typical monster hunter waltzing his way into a nest of dangerous creatures with a hefty blade, taking heads off one by one.

Soon, Morene made quite a living off of freelancing, getting enough gold to buy a rather nice-looking house, though nobody to share it with despite it's few extra rooms she didn't really need at the moment. Morene never minded the time alone, taking every chance she got to sit down and relax every once in a while from pursuing creatures of the night and bounties on dangerous criminals.

After five long years of freelancing and adventuring, Morene had met many new associates, garnered plenty of strange abilities, scrounged up enough gadgets and weapons to fill an arsenal, and even at one point going through the excruciating surgery into becoming part-machine. Needless to say, Morene had gotten far, and the people of the smaller towns started to recognize the woman as a paragon to all those in Europa, including her various comrades.

Despite all of this praise and confirmation that she'd done well, Morene couldn't help but want more in her still young life. It didn't take her long to set her sights on the land of Abucairo, which by many, was the most inhabitable landmass on the planet of Terra as a whole. It's huge scale formed many biomes, ravaged by nuclear radiation testing from many warring countries back in the day, turning the once-planned utopia into a ravaging spawn of the Underworld itself.

Deciding to take the longer, albeit safer way into Abucairo, Morene soon traveled on foot towards the Europan peninsula, venturing through the land bridge connecting both Europa and Abucairo with a mere strip of land, heavily defended by many outlandish powers of unknown strengths. In this quest, Morene had been one of the few individuals to survive the nigh-impossible quest of getting through Europa's borders with no outside help.

Or at least, so it seemed before Morene had crossed paths with an individual who went by the simple name of "Grigore." As the legends and stories told, Grigore was an ancient gargoyle whom cheated his curses with the powers of dark magic to walk beneath the sun again. Though it worked at first, the art of dark magics quickly consumed him and clouded his mind, turning the once gentler soul into what Morene saw was a ruthless and cunning killer by any means. Even before meeting Grigore, the woman knew of the gargoyle's accomplishments, himself able to defeat deity-like creatures with his bare hands.

Morene couldn't help but ask of his business there, finding out soon after the question left her lips, that Grigore had the same intentions as her. To travel into the wastelands of Abucairo, and meld it into their own lands, safe from anybody to do it harm. Despite the noble description, Morene could tell, looking into Grigore's cold eyes, that he'd turn Abucairo into no more than his own playpen, and more importantly, only one being would go to Abucairo alive. As Grigore brandished his blade, Morene's eyes widened, realizing she'd have to duel him.

Hours passed as the two fought, Grigore impressed with Morene's strange skills and rather impressive aim with her firearms, not to mention being able to hold up against his own sword with her own seemingly feeble blades in comparison. Putting on his cold face a sick smirk of satisfaction, Grigore took his last few breaths, biting into Morene's shoulder. Then, the gargoyle slumped to the ground, defeated. With her arm bleeding, Mórene looked down, her vision getting hazier by the second.

Before Morene's consciousness faded, she heard Grigore's last words to her as he faded away into dust, telling her of the vampiric qualities his curses were, and how sooner or later, Morene would succumb to the same fate as Grigore's. Seeing how Morene wasn't the type to believe in fate, she only laughed, before falling over onto the hardwood floor.

Morene's eyes fluttered, waking up in an endless black void with a white, smiling humanoid figure standing in the middle of the abyss. She felt noticeably weaker, as if her powers were sleeping, but she was not. Only a few words later coming from this "Omni" who sat in front of her, did she learn of her presence in the Omniverse.

Physical Description
Morene looks to be in her early thirties, a tall, pale woman that stands at an abnormal 6'5 feet tall, with long, wavy black hair which drops down to her back, almost always being held together in a very low ponytail as soon as it reaches the bottom of her neck. Her somewhat slim face is dotted with a few freckles, and her electric blue eyes covered with semi-rimless glasses. Even under all of her armor, if you could see her arms, you could obviously tell the woman is quite toned, with quite a bit of muscle built under her skin.

Outside of her casual wares, Morene is usually wearing her Thanatos armor, which is a moderately heavy, metallic armor completely covered in conductive black metal alloys, which she always wears over her black and blue sneaking suit right underneath the plated armor, matching her color scheme quite well, or at least in her eyes.

In terms of other accessories, various pockets, bandoleers, pouches and plenty of extra ammunition can be found strapped to various points on her armor, which seems to be emphasized with a blue sash tied to Morene's waistline, with it's small amounts of excess ribbon going down her right leg, complete with intricate black designs. Other than this, you can easily see Morene's wide-brimmed hat always at the top of her head, not uncommon for the average hunter, and a tattered blue poncho with the same design and color scheme of her sash, only covering up her left arm most of the time. This poncho of hers also makes for a nifty face-mask whenever she needs one, or whenever she feels the need to look a slight bit more intimidating.

Traits/Personality
Morene is a rather straitlaced woman, never bothering to commit to acts of drug-use, alcohol consumption, or smoking as would be expected of almost any hunter her age. Though good-willed and determined to the core, Morene has a motherly attitude towards those younger than her, even if they're on the opposite side of her weapon. On that note, Morene does set a few rules in place for trying her best not to kill those whom does not qualify as a monster, which by her definition, are sentient beings with at least some shred of redeemable qualities in them.

Of course, if her opponents don't fit that description, it's generally going to be assumed that Morene will try her hardest to put said person down with little to no mercy, ignoring the obvious disgust for such actions. Even though Morene has a limit, know it's very hard to push, considering she's a very patient woman if not provoked to such an extent. When she's not provoked however, expect Morene to be the type to use her "charming way of words" and rather subtle accent to flirt and tease anybody she's known for more than 10 minutes, if it's not too unprofessional anyways.

Stats

ATK: 2
Though not as strong as some others she's met, Morene learned from a young age to how to hit hard, her weapons included.

DEF: 3
Due to her less than pleasant experiences in the past, Morene has garnered quite a resistance to hits, loving the feeling of successfully tanking attacks to her advantage.

SPD: 1
Despite her longer legs, Morene is still your average athlete in terms of speed, though still enough to keep her on a competitive edge.

TEC: 4
From elegant curves and weaves with her swords or taking shots at mid-air targets and putting them down with ease, be sure to stay mindful of Morene's vast experience in combat and stealth maneuvers.

Starting Proficiencies

Physical Strength – 1000 OM
A unique proficiency, this allows characters to become proficient hand-to-hand combatants without purchasing any additional moves for normal punches, kicks, etcetera, the strength based on your ATK stat. It also allows for picking up heavy objects with your bare hands, strength dependent on your ATK stat. Once purchased, you may also purchase melee weapons such as swords, staves or whips as moves, or other advanced melee moves such as charged strikes. For the purposes of clarity, any move that reaches further than 12 feet away from yourself requires the Ranged proficiency.

Ranged Proficiency – 1000 OM
Allows you to purchase moves which use projectiles or attack from range. For example guns, bows and long-range beam attacks.

Flight – 1800 OM (1000 OM if replacing Master Super Jumping)
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's you! Like running, the speed of Flight is based on your SPD. Naturally, though, flying takes a lot more effort than running.

Starting Powers

N/A

Starting Moves

"Temperance" Rifle Hybrid – 600 OM (requires Ranged Proficiency)
Finding the need to constantly switch between long-range and medium-range firearms a tire, Morene's primary weapon "Temperance" is a switchable combination of both a bullpup SMG and a sniper rifle. Silenced at it's barrel, the Temperence hybrid rifle uses .30 caliber shots fed in a 30-round magazine, and in it's SMG form, fires off about 10 shots per second, doing moderate amounts of damage if Morene can keep her sights on her target, which is greatly encouraged considering it's effective range of about 40 meters.

In it's second formation, Morene takes careful aim, looking into the collapsible scope, replacing the SMG's irons. As soon as the scope pops into her sight, a single shot begins to charge up with a powerful electric pulse, taking about 2 seconds to charge all the way to it's max damage output. While charging her shot, Morene moves at half her lackluster speed, focusing onto her target, before firing a potentially high-damaging round, usually used for long-range fights, emphasized by it's effective range of about 300 meters.

"Judgement" Shortsword – 300 OM (requires Physical Strength)
The Fellon family sword "Judgement," a simple single-edged sword with a blade that measures to about 25 inches total in length, definitely smaller than most. Though simple in design, the Judgement shortsword is capable of unleashing simple combinations of attacks with ease, whether it be cutting, stabbing, or even parrying attacks. Though it does qualify as a sword, expect Morene to use it more as a machete, or just as a very large knife, considering her own size makes it look puny in comparison.

"Circuit-Maker" Grappling Cables – 300 OM (requires Ranged Proficiency)
In her vast experiences in hunting, Morene found it quite difficult to get the drop on an unsuspecting opponent, at one point requesting one of her more tech-savvy associates to create a pair of gauntlets that allowed Morene to shoot thick zipwires from her arms to reach hard-to-get areas. Agreeing to make it knowing he owed Morene a few favors anyways, the Circuit-Maker grappling cables, as Morene liked to call them, allowed her to shoot cables from 25 meters away and latch onto almost any solid surface. Because of the time it takes for the wires themselves to retract into her gauntlets, Morene must wait about 3 seconds before launching another cable. Though these do little to no damage at all to enemies, these make for great tools to get to any vantage point, and helps Morene escape less than favorable situations if needed.

Miscellaneous/Roleplay Fodder

"Thanatos" All-Purpose Power Armor(uses Flight)
Morene's signature armor, the Thanatos suit, as described above, is a set of armor is carefully designed for mobility, effectiveness, defense, and comfort, above all. Because of it's heavily modified exterior, the Thanatos suit has many uses, including enabling it's user to effectively fly with the use of a collapsible wingsuit. Though by definition this would be considered gliding, the suit also contains a short-burst jetpack, allowing Morene to get a bit more height gliding. Combine this with it's small parachute unit and Morene's cables, this effectively allows Morene to fly, albeit with less success than a natural flight user would be able to accomplish, which ties well into her measly SPD stat of 1.
