God, was it ever hot at this carnival. Weiss wasn't sure if it was just due to the season, or the crowd of people, or even the sheer amount of fire magic that seemed to be flung around for the sake of cooking or spectacles, but she knew she could have almost cried tears of joy when Ruby handed her a bottle of water.
The heat wasn't really helping her growing agitation, though at exactly what, she couldn't say. She really wanted nothing more than to leave the coliseum, and it wasn't just due to the temperature. Still, Ruby wanted to come here and see her friend, and enjoy the sights. One of these days she'd figure out a way to win an argument with the girl, but it felt impossible to say "no" to her when she flashed that dopey grin...
Six months away from it had destroyed the tiny bit of resistance she'd built up when it came to that dope's pleading. Though, really... She was just happy to see Ruby having fun. The omniverse was a world away from where they were, and Ruby had definitely had less than a pleasant experience at times, but at least she was safe, happy, and still able to flash that same dopey smile. Though it seemed like her confidence had grown even more since last time she'd saw her - maybe it was due to spending so long on her own, but she'd definitely lost a lot of the hesitance or doubt she used to have... Which caused her to be more spontaneous than ever.
Right now, though, she was busy talking to what seemed to be a faunus - Or at least, that was Weiss's first guess, though it didn't quite explain some of the oddities of the girls appearance. Ruby introduced herself as DairyDiarist - Really, Ruby? - to the emerald-themed girl in front of them. Weiss crosses her arms as the girl introduces herself. she seemed nice enough, but Weiss just couldn't find the motivation to introduce herself. She opted to cross her arms, and watch as-
a sudden pant and bark took her attention, and Weiss's mood immediately changed.
The girl. Had. The cutest dog!... Even if it was eyeless.
Weiss thought she heard a giggle as she kneeled down and started petting the white dog's head, but the majority of her headspace was focused firmly on telling it what a cute dog it was. "Hello there! What's your name little dog? Oh you're such a cutie, yes you are!" Weiss cooed sweetly, and this time she knew she heard Ruby laughing. Her attention was interrupted as Jade held up a rather pretty frog... encased in ice and looking nothing like a normal frog.
the Ivory-haired warrior was starting to realize that this place was just going to be straight up weird no matter where she looked.
"Oh, uh, my name is Weiss Schnee-" the overheated huntress finally remembered to say, but this Jade girl was already focused on summoning another frog for... A dragon.
Weiss looked over at Ruby for confirmation on the fact she really was seeing a giant lizard, but her partner seemed too interested in staring at her frog with delight for the moment.
