A scream escaped the Agnès’ lips, filling the high air of Nippur as gravity tore her from the sky. Surely nobody on the battlefield could hear her, but she couldn't do anything other than be scared. A few possible solutions came to mind - she could try to break her fall with a Jump from the Valkyrie Asterisk, for example, but none of her abilities aside from some White Magic seemed to respond to her.
She had her bow, but what good would that do? She was a good shot, but she couldn't focus, and firing an arrow directly above her at the man that had dropped her would run the risk of the arrow not going far enough and falling on her. She wouldn't dare try looking down and firing on anyone on the ground - the last thing she wanted to be reminded of was death rushing towards her.
It was going to happen, wasn't it? She was going to die. Nothing but luck or some kind of miracle could save her at this point. The wind rushing past her started spinning her about, turning her into a flailing mass of black and white fabrics and long brown hair, so she couldn't even see how fast the world was coming up to meet her. She couldn't imagine her arrows were staying in their quiver at the moment, either, so her bow would be useless for the rest of the battle. If she kept falling, of course, her being involved in the battle was among the least of her worries.
It was in the mess of spinning and struggling to right herself that Agnès felt something wrap around her torso, stopping her rotation completely. She looked down to see a chain tighten around her upper torso, sucking the breath from her lungs once more. She felt herself flung not down, not up but forwards, where she again lost control of her orientation.
Barely was the Vestal relieved of the fear of impending doom as she hurtled aimlessly towards the ground, far from where she had once been, far from any hope of familiarity or comfort or safety in the now-chaotic streets of Nippur.
Slam. Immense pain flared up all over Agnès' body. Something cracked, and while she feared what had cracked, she found her answer in the form of an uncomfortable wooden point jabbing her side. Fortunately, that meant her bow had broken rather than a bone fracturing or breaking. She let out a little ow and struggled to her feet. She saw a very large-looking man with what she could only describe as an orange mane. It seemed as though he had unintentionally cushioned her fall. On pure instinct alone she made an apologetic sound and offered her hand. "I am sorry, sir. I did not mean to--"
She stopped herself. "In my defense, had I not been falling from the sky, we wouldn't be in this situation. Regardless, are you hurt? Find shelter and I will come find you after all this. I can help with any injuries I may have caused you then..."
The victim of the unintentional Vestal cannonball seemed less than impressed. In fact, he looked hostile. Maybe he wasn't the forgiving type?
Or was he an enemy? In that moment, Agnès felt the power of one of her Asterisks flow through her - in a quick flash of bright white light, her outfit changed to a qipao, black thigh-highs, white ankle boots and black elbow-length gloves. She felt powerful in a way that now felt almost foreign - maybe the Omniverse had changed her abilities for the better for once. "Or are you, dare I ask, among the ranks of those who threw our city into chaos?"

Quote:Agnès' Angel Bow broke. Can't use it for the rest of the fight because, y'know, broken.
Agnès used Tier 1 Powered-Up Form: Equipped Monk Asterisk! for the entire round (3 ATK, 2 DEF, 5 SPD, 5 TEC, -2 SP)
622 words, according to Wordcounter.net. I think I used that, at least.
