Why were things so difficult to focus on. His ears were so weak, his senses so limited. How weak was he really? Was there even a way to test the limits of his power at the time? Certainly not. With the eyes that were cast upon him he knew better then to pick a fight or even try to find someone to spar with. For now he had to behave, even when the woman set down a beer next to his cooked fish. This caused the shadowy figure's eyes to twitch, if anyone could ever see the eternity of black upon black under a veil of shadow cast by his hood.
No wine. No sake. So they brought him the cheap swill that's merely rented by the people that drink it before they take it back to serve up the flavorless piss water again. This would cause him to sigh a sigh that lingered for several seconds until the untextured hand grabbed the bottle, his thumb becoming disfigured as it latched under the cap and grew around the base only to lift and pop it off with a relative ease. Immediately after taking the beer to pull up and chug down the content in a haste. In the end it felt so empty. Even as the bottle was left with no more then a drop of alcohol at it's base, set on the table with a hollow clack of the surface upon surface.
Was this empty feeling by not having been by the side of Envi any longer? Like a hunger that left him craving more. Perhaps he was actually happy in that old kingdom as no more then a footstool constantly polishing her feet as he did all in his power to manage her lands. Continually straining his body to cleave the mountains and move the stars if not just to fulfil one desire or another based upon her whims. Once more Atonement would sign, but this time the sigh was one of discontent that would catch Hunny's ear, yielding the boy to look up from their sweets. Before they could hope to ask anything Atonement would speak. "I'm Fine...It's just a long day...For both of us I'm sure..."
Reaching down he'd grab the whole cook fish and raise it to a point under his hood. His head lowering down so what came to be would not come to be seen by the eyes of any. To swallow the small meal whole, not bothering to do any such thing as chewing or the likes. He was accustomed to digesting the bones and in fact he was sure his stomach was still strong enough for that much. It certainly felt that way with the beer unable to retain it's property within. Slowly raising his head he'd return to the book, continuing the study on the primes. But the details were also filled with pointless advertisement about there being a constant recruitment for the primes as experiments. Certainly not for him...

Eyes can be pretty can't they?
A window to one's soul some say.
So if I stare into your eyes too long...
Will I see the same kind of beauty?...
