Fusion Fight: Demetri + Alexyana vs Connor + Ruby

As Demetri sized up the humanoid dragon in front of him, he felt a daunting form of magic around him, as if something was pushing him towards the female reptile. He had no memory of how he got there, and only remembered being somewhere not long ago, with sand all around him. He reached in his satchel and found some gauntlets, along with an arrangement of weapons. He seemed to have packed for the trip. The force around him suddenly became stronger,and he felt a sudden push forward, darkness surrounding him.

As his eyes opened, he felt taller and stronger. His body was different, but it also wasn't only his.

What the heck just happened?

A female voice. Upon further examination of his new body, it seemed that he had merged with the female dragon.

It seems to be that we shall be conjoined and sharing our physical attributes for the time being. An enemy that is in the same situation is not too far from us.

Hmm... The dragon took control of our body, examining her surroundings and taking in Demetri's words. The thief had already analyzed their opponent. They were fast, with a primary weapon appearing to be a scythe that could shoot projectiles.

You're pretty handy with detecting things. Since we are sharing a body, we should probably know each other's names. Mine is Alexyana.

The dragon was right. After all, it was most likely rude to be able to control someone's body without them at least knowing your name.

Well, Demetri, I think we should give a nice welcome to our new 'friend' over there.

Agreed.

The newly fused duo grinned, showing a row of sharp teeth under their maw. Their smooth, scaly skin glittered through the haze as they looked at the buildings around them. Demexyana then slowly broke into a sprint to the edge of the skyscraper, the stomping of their merged legs stomping into the floor, echoing across the fog. With a heavy leap, they flipped off the building, disappearing into the mist. The sudden clinking of chains rang through the fog as the mist swirled around the dragon-thief, as they swung up on top of the building across from them. The foe before them wore a long trench-coat, as it was hard to decipher the gender of the person with the clashing of their two genders.

The dragon thief stood tall against its opponent as it issued a challenge.

"I don't know why we are here, or why were are merged with others, but one thing is certain...," the dragon-thief adjusted to a fighting stance, readying it's chains, "... the only we are getting out is by defeating you."

"I feel the same. Even though I don't want to have a reason to fight you, I get the feeling we don't have a choice."Their foe reacted the same, reaching under their skirt to reveal the bright red scythe, spinning it and slamming the hilt on the ground.

A moment of stillness held the two before they both rushed each other. Demexyana activated deception, pulling off to the side while the enemy was distracted. Not a second later, Cuby burst forward, closing the gap between them almost instantly as the clone was slashed in two, dissipating into nothingness.

Demexyana then launched a surprise attack from the side, slamming Cuby with a heavy slam from their tail, sending Cuby to the edge of their platform. The screeching of the scythe as it scraped against the cement roof caused both fighters to cringe as Cuby stopped a few feet from the edge.

Cuby immediately retaliated with a burst of five shots from Crescent Rose, with red powder puffing from the weapon with each bullet. The dragon-thief had barely enough time to recover a shield from their satchel as the first three hit, destroying the shield and allowing the final two to hit bare skin. Though the initial impact was nothing to fret about, the lingering burn afterwards was enough to cause concern.

By the time the burning sensation had settled in, Cuby quickly discovered a single chain rapped around Crescent Rose. A tug from Demexyana caused her to stumble, but she held fast to the weapon. Cuby quickly drew Lupa and held the trigger on the automatic weapon, emptying the clip into the enemy's direction.. Though most of the shots missed, it was enough to cause the dragon-thief to raise an arm in defense, the distraction Cuby needed in order to twist her scythe and slice the chain binding it.

"You're as sharp as your weapon. I respect such a formidable opponent."

"You're not so bad yourself. It's a shame we have to fight."
