The emotions that finally raced through Weiss physically hurt, and so many spoken and unspoken words suddenly raced through her. Even now, all I was doing was causing my friends pain. Weiss's internal monologue was immediately interrupted by the feeling of lips pressing against her.
"wh-what?"

Ruby's eyes started to water, and Weiss smiled in spite of herself, putting a finger to Ruby's face in a gesture of silence. "Remember what I said, back at beacon? We'd just had a big fight, and I'd acted like a... Well, a jerk after class... for real this time. Starting now, I'm going to be the best teammate you'll ever have."
Ruby moved like a blur, and suddenly the embrace she found herself in was oh so much tighter. "Weiss..."
Even as they hugged, though, neither noticed Weiss's eyes briefly change to a shade of emerald green, before going back to normal.
