Me and My big mouth
#15
Upon reaching the Senate Library, Kopaka contented himself to simply follow the diminutive human and her armor-clad tag-along around. It wasn't especially his place to tell them where they could or couldn't go; it was simply his responsibility to ensure that they stayed out of trouble. As the entered the ever-opulent lobby, Kopaka's thoughts briefly turned to the murder that had occurred here not more than a week ago. The Toa wondered what Athena was doing, and if she had bothered to pursue the mystery. He would have entirely blamed her if she had opted against it, but it would be surprising. She didn't seem to be the type to give up on someone in need.

Then again, wasn't that precisely what he had done? The griffin rahi, she had been cursed by some strange amulet and left on her own. Kopaka had left the scene under the impression that it would be a sensible distribution of resources if he investigated the murderer's body, but in the end, it had just provided the biomech with an excuse to leave the investigation entirely. At the time, it hadn't felt like an abandonment, but now things felt different for some reason. Perhaps once he was done apprehending the Prime known as Michael Smith he could look into what had become of that entire debacle.

Ururu's harsh tone snapped him out of his rumination. The Toa looked down at the female with a single, frigid eye.

"I am a Toa." he said softly, as if this answered everything.
