“Wow! This is totally an interesting group!” Hatate couldn’t help herself from commenting, studying the group from a fair distance above them. It certainly wasn’t well-organized like she’d expected them to be. In her mind, maybe they would have like a common uniform or something, but there wasn’t any consistency to them. It was more like a lynch mob than an apprehension party.
The reporter’s eyes shifted back to her camera. The broadcast had said that it was several prime citizens, though, and neutral party at that. She should have expected something more ragtag like that. Then again, if the people involved were neutral citizens like the broadcast said, maybe it was something born out of a personal vendetta. Of course, it could also totally be that the subject in question was so dangerous that it was prompting unrelated people to come together. Which meant the only way to find out would be gather information.
Static filled her camera’s screen as Hatate focused on the accused’s name, Sasuke Uchida. The search return time for this particular query was much faster than before, turning up only two results in a few seconds. One from the public broadcast, and one from a comment on a bulletin. The reporter’s eyes darted back and forth as she scrolled down the bulletin, taking everything in.
So this justice mob was born of a grudge. This Sasuke Uchiha, not Uchida, had apparently betrayed a Smith in a cooperative alliance. The betrayal went as far as murder, though, not just chasing him off or injuring him. He was totally in the right to want justice. As a bonus, if what this “Thaal Sinestro” had to say held any weight, then the guy they were apprehending was like, really bad.
Satisfied with the information she had gathered, Hatate took off, shooting downwards, and landed heavily on the fringes of the group. She straightened up from her landing, balancing superhumanly on one foot, arms crossed in front of her, and camera at the ready. Her eyes darted from one figure to the next, taking them all in. For the most part, everyone was fairly normal, save for one small, engineered boxy guy, and a great big beast of a man who was way too smelly. It took quite a bit of willpower for the reporter to not make a comment on that.
“My name is Hatate Himekaidou, author of the Kakashi Spirit News!” the pink-clad tengu introduced herself brightly, not caring whether the name of her newspaper was well known or not. “Would you mind answering some questions?”
