Someone make sure that they put together all the information into one cohesive location, so that people like me can read it all at once instead of trying to piece-meal together from pages of this thread <_<

Also, my math was hilariously wrong. That was assuming that an ENTIRE ROUND took 4 days, not every players turn. If we did 4 day deadlines between every individual post, A SINGLE ROUND would take 56 days.

So. Maybe let's think of a more elegant solution.

A post and a half elimination round of all 1v1. It fits well with when combat first starts, people are trying to get the jump on others and it all goes down hill from there. Both sides fire off their first round of attacks within limit of 1000 words, not controlling the other person's character. The main point is this first round happens all at once blindly with no one having the starting advantage.

The second post is them all responding to the first posts they each made and they have to do it in 500 words or less. Judges them determine who survive intact enough to continue on to the more hectic but smaller group fight.

Those who didn't survive the first round are assigned double the damage and are left to lick their wounds in normal rp while the winners take normal amount. The winners may choose to sacrifice the first post of their next battle to execute or banish the losers or may instead focus on their new opponents but gives the opponents time to attack much with the advantage. Note that second battle would proceed much more normally.

That seems to emulate warzone quite nicely.

Note that the loss of the losers is not a sure thing that they are disabled. They can chose to interfere from there on or go after the other losers though they have a significant disadvantage of being extremely injured so there is a strong strong motivation for them to abandon the battle.
