Looks great with that addition.

Tom Marvolo Riddle Wrote:Well you have the general idea, but keep in mind the hit box is to connect the defense to the attack. Once that happens it starts working against the attack in question. I'm just not sure how it will work again AoE attacks. Maybe cut a hole through it? Still taking damage with a LOT of bleed through? Granted in that case I'll probably be using Protego instead. Thoughts? I guess I should say the hitbox is the point of connection, after that it defends not based on size of the attack (unless AoE?) but rather its strength.

Ahh, I getcha. When the attack strikes that box it comes under the effect of the spell. With that, I'd say you may need Area Shield, since if someone for instance threw a dumpster at you, it would exceed the 3-foot rule that we have on shielding. Even though the hitbox is technically smaller, the attack you'd be blocking is much larger. It wouldn't be very fair to have Tom able to deflect planet-sized objects with the tip of his wand =P (as epic as that sounds). For stuff smaller than 3-feet I'd think you're probably fine to go with the version you have, though, as you're essentially RPing a 3-foot shield as 'looking' much smaller for cosmetic/RP reasons.

For AoE stuff, it's up to you how you'd like it to work. With such a small hitbox you'd definitely get significant bleed-through, though if it like, extends to the 3-foot maximum in response to AoE it could work a bit better. You'd still take damage as you'd need Area Shield to shield your full body, but it's not nothing. I agree with the Protego idea as that makes more sense in my opinion.
