As soon at the big oaf started to lie about his obvious condition, she took a peek into his mind to see if there was anything he was hiding. This was entirely out of concern and not perverse curiosity… or at least that’s how she justified it.
However, what she found was a lot more troubling. She remembered the incident when this man wrecked their crops when he sneeze explosively. She had no idea this was as much the problem his mind was pushing it to be. She always thought it was more a quirky fault.
Fearful of the crowds, and for Desco, she looked over towards orc assistant. He was keeping his distance from the group, making sure to tend to their strange mount creature. Catching his attention, she beckoned him closer.
“Something you need, princess?” He said as he approached the group.
The pink one grabbed the reins and handed them to Gildarts. The mage looked down at her to suddenly be met with her dull gaze.
“I understand.” She stated calmly. “You need to go for now.”
He took the reins.
“Please, keep in touch. And do take care of yourself.” She said. She moved in for a hug. Desco, confused by the sudden tonal shift, joined in the hug as well.
After a few seconds, the group parted from the hug. Gildarts slowly climbed onto the mount and glanced back at the princess.
"Thank you, Princess."
And with that, he rode off, parting through the crowd and into the fields of Camelot. Guu felt an ache. She felt like something horrible was going to happen. She didn't know if her foresight was acting up or if she was just being paranoid. Was it more important to honor his freedom? She watched his back slowly disappear for the longest time, until a small hand grabbed her shoulder. She darted her eyes over to Desco, who had a large goofy grin on her face. She was completely oblivious of the air of dread that followed the situation.
"Let's go see more of the booths! I want to catch goldfish next!" She grabbed Guu by the arm stub and pulled her along towards more fun and games.
