Quote:Guu, Desco, Gildarts
Guu nodded at Gildarts.
“Yep, that’s certainly her style.”
The mage moved over towards the fluffy unicorn and picked it up from its resting spot. Guu went for the extremely large dragon plush that Desco seemed to like.
Armed with overbearing fluffy animals, the group took a seat at a nearby bench. Guu was quick to stock them with cotton candy. The demon child and the wizard were forced to set aside their stuffed companions in order to grasp the delicious treats.
“You guys wait here, I have an idea.” Guu stated, stubby arm pointed up in front of her face; exaggerated like a cartoon character.
With that, she took off. She sensed an empty square behind a funnel cake tent for some privacy. Guu had a terrible idea. She had a terrible awful idea. She remembered back when she was a goddess, she could feel the minds of others, see their thoughts, even predict their actions. If she had that here at the fair, she could win untold plushies. She could return to her palace and fill an entire room with plushies. She imagined Molly diving into a vault full of plushies like Scrooge Mcduck. And the only thing keeping her from this devious plan was a little bit of OM.
Quickly and stealthily, she ducked behind the before-mentioned stand and immediately started to focus on the powers she used to have. She focused on all of them. The OM encapsulated her body, surrounding her with a rainbow glow. An indiscernible amount of time passed. She kept her mind focused as one by one, her old mental abilities came back in their lesser Omniverse forms. She could feel them returning to her. She had forgotten what it was like to gain her powers while awake. Most of them came back in her sleep. This was so much more satisfying. The rush of endorphins from it all was worth it on its own.
Eventually, she felt the final power return to her. The rainbow glow quickly faded. Curious, she focused her telepathy on the stand owner.
“When is the day going to be over? If I see another teenage hooligan, I shalt go medieval on their asses.” Thought the man.
Guu snickered at the thought she just intruded on. What was already a fun day just got an upgrade. Satisfied, she headed towards the exit.
But suddenly, she wasn’t there anymore.
She was in an arena made of metal hovering over acid. The world around her was fuzzy, but two figures were clear in this world. A familiar man with a straw hat, red coat, and rolled up blue pants, and a large stranger, teched up the ass and armed to the teeth. The large guy lifted up one of his large guns and fired a round directed into the straw hat’s head, penetrated his rubbery skull. Within seconds, he melted away into a mist composed of Omnilirium. All that was left of him was his lonely boots, sitting on the ground without a master.
The large man ignored the boots and disappeared into the fuzziness of the world. The footwear was eventually picked up by a man in a strange medival uniform. The strange worker carried the boots to some storage area; a reception area in view.
Guu shifted awake. She was on her back in the dirt. She quickly jumped to her feet as she assessed what just happened.
“Just great. I get all these new powers and before I can play with them, I’m already doing hero work.” She said in a huff. She stormed out from behind the stand, surprising a number of customers who did not see her go in. She headed towards the main area of the tournament, her mind slowing building a plan.
Quote:Monkey D. Luffy?
The front desk was busy that day. The young lady at the front was swamped with work. For every one person she helped with a problem, three more would fill the line. It was just an endless barrage of questions, and most of them not worthwhile. It’s always questions like:
“Why do some of the audience have merchandise and I don’t?” “What do you mean i can’t get in with the royal seats? I have 10g on me!” After five hours of this crap, she was already at the end of her rope.
So imagine her surprise when a dead man approached her desk.
Monkey D. Luffy, the pirate captain from the Vasty, a man she just saw twenty minutes ago with a bullet in his head, was standing before her, a giant grin on his face.
“Hello miss question lady!” Said the pirate.
The women went bug eye, not certain what to make of this. She beckoned a coworker who joined in the spot next to her. His expression wasn’t much different from her’s.
“I know what you’re thinking. I actually re spawned a few days ago. The time distillation between the Nexus and Camelot is really screwy right now. I’m guessing it’s the tournament doing it.”
The pair looked at each other. They both knew about the whole issue of time passing differently in some areas than others, but this was the most extreme example they had ever heard of.
“Anyways, I left my boots on the battlefield where I died. I’ve come to pick them up.”
The male employee, giving her coworker a glance, shrugged and headed into storage. The woman, not being paid enough to question the situation, decided to play along for now.
“Can you provide proof of your identity?” She asked.
The male coworker quickly came out with the shiny red, leg-length boots. Upon seeing the footwear, Luffy extended his arm past the front desk lady, giving her fright, and snatching up the boots. He returned his arm back and placed the shoes on the desk.
“Hehehehe, is that proof enough? Yosh!”
The pair just stared in disbelief. They had seen Luffy’s ability on the battlefield, but it was a whole other playing field to see it happen inches away from them.
Luffy, seeing their expressions, picked up the boots and gave them a polite bow.
“Thanks a lot! See ya!” He said, sprinting passed the long line behind him and out the door.
The pair was pulled from their shock when the person next in line started to ring the bell impatiently. The women continued her day in hell.
Quote:Guu, Desco, Gildarts
Finding a safe hiding place, Guu shapeshifted back into a normal self. Boots at hand, she swallowed them in one gulp, storing them safely in her stomach. She wasn’t sure how they were significant to the rubber pirate, but she thought she might as well keep them safe for now.
Returning to the fair, she made her way to where she left Gildarts and Desco. They are probably wondering what’s taking her so long. Now that she had time to think about it, her plushie pool plans were kind of dumb considering she could summon the dolls with her Omnilirium. Hindsight is kind of a bitch.
