Kuzan
#1
Character name: Kuzan

Character source: One Piece

Character history: Pulled from shortly after his brief 'confrontation' with Doflamingo on Punk Hazard and subsequent departure.

Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 2
SPD: 3
TEC: 2

Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength -- 1000 OM
Ranged Proficiency -- 1000 OM
Area Attack Proficiency -- 600 OM

Starting Powers:
Burst Movement -- 800 OM
Advanced Super Jumping -- 500 OM

Starting Moves:
Ice Saber -- 300 OM
Kuzan is capable of snap-freezing either several small objects, such as blades of grass, or a mass of water vapor into a jagged blade of ice, razor sharp and tough enough for use in combat. Forming the blade takes roughly four seconds.

Ice Pick -- 300 OM
Holding out one hand, palm facing target-ward, Kuzan fires off a quick burst of small spikes of ice. Individually they each pack about as much force as a light jab, but they are fired in a moderate number and can deal decent enough damage. Their effect reaches roughly two meters before dissipating into harmless clouds of icy mist, but they have a wide spread analagous to a shotgun blast, making dodging within that range difficult.

Ice Block: Partizan -- 300 OM
Kuzan forms a handful of sharp spears of ice just behind himself, and with a gesture of his arm at their intended target, they launch forward with great speed. Usually launched in a volley of six, they can fly about fifteen feet before dissipating, and strike with a harsh, shattering impact.

Writing example: ((This here is from a relatively recent foray into adventure and nonsense, as Brook, also from One Piece, taken from another site (naturally).))

The first thing Brook noticed when he registered the light hitting his empty sockets was that it was much too bright. It should have been filtered through curtains and windows, and if nothing else coming at him from a slightly less direct angle.

The second thing was that he wasn't in his bed. From the noises he could hear about him, and the feeling on his back as he lay sprawled out on....something, probably the ground, it definitely wasn't his bed, nor was it the anywhere on theThousand Sunny. He couldn't hear the sound of the waves, nor the gentle sound of the ocean winds. Even in a stretch of calm and still water, the ocean was never completely at rest, and as a musicion he would have heard even the faintest noises of the seawater lapping at the ship's hull.

But he didn't.

All he heard were the strange sounds of errant breezes, and what sounded like the distant murmuring of people. Some place populated, at least. That was a good thing, then, as it meant he could ask some questions!

A sudden jolt in whatever it was he was laying on brought some alarm to his features. "Eh?" He sat bolt upright, staring blankly ahead. Had he still had his eyes, he would have blinked dumbly. And behind him, he heard a sharp intake of breath, a loud "WAAAH!", and the very distinct thunk of someone falling flat on their face.

"Eh?"

Still confused, Brook turned his head slowly about, to see what all the commotion was about. Sprawled on the ground was a man, clad all in black, his hat nowhere near in its proper place, looking utterly terrified. And staring straight at him.

"......."

"......"

"...are you alright?"

"W-Whagh! Stay back, demon!"

"Demon...?" It took a moment to fully dawn, but soon Brook realized what was going on. And his features went into a state of panic, and he leapt upright, flailing lamely over the side of what was revealed to be a cart, landing flat on the back of his head. But he only continued his senseless flailing. "W-Where?! I need to get away!"

"E-Eh....?" The poor man was momentarily dumbstruck by the strange antics of the skeleton before him, before snapping out of it and pointing an accusing finger at Brook. "I-I mean you!"

Brook immediately froze, mouth wide open, limbs still in the air as he tried to flail himself back onto his feet. "Eh?" Slowly, he sat upright on the ground, mouth still hanging open, staring back at the main. For a long while, Brook said nothing, and merely stared. The man took a step back, his arm lowering as a look of nervousness crept over his face.

"Yohohohoho!" Finally, Brook fell backward, sprawling out upon the ground. "Thank goodness! I thought there was an actual demon here! You nearly scared me to death!"

The man could only stare at him blankly, muttering under his breath, "But aren't you already dead...?"

The main blinked, and Brook was on his side, curled into a ball. ".....I was going to say that...."

An awkward silence fell, before Brook sprang up to his feet. "I don't mean to be rude, but I seem to have misplaced myself while I was asleep!" With a broad, sweeping gesture, the skeleton tipped his overly-large hat. "I am Soul King Brook!" After several seconds of blank staring, he set his jaw with a slight clack of bones and replaced his hat upon his afro. It looked like people didn't recognize his name here. "Could you possibly tell me where I am?"

"N-No, I can't. Just....just get outta here!"

Without another glance, the man climbed back onto his cart, and went on his way.

Brook was left standing there, perplexed. "That was rather odd."

If he had bothered to pay attention, he would have noticed the small plaque on the cart proclaiming it worked for a funeral home.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

And, If my math is right, that leaves 200 OM left over for later, too.
"Hold on a second, I have a call..."
