Black☆Star shuffled uncomfortably in his seat, groaning to himself at the unfortunate situation he found himself in. To his left he found an old man, staring intently at the Prime. Silent as the grave and fixed in what appeared to be perpetual bemusement. And on his right, sat his first worshipper, having clearly followed him to the arena to watch his fight. But how could he show his face to his adoring worshipper after such a defeat?
Apparently, something in the elderly man clicked, “Ooh~ You’re that kid.. the one who fought the mage guy, huh?” he croaked. A stray hand found it’s way to the back of Black☆Star’s head, scratching away at his candy colored hair, the boy laughed almost awkwardly, a boisterous grin plastered across his features, “Another fan, eh? Yeh.. that’s me.” he spoke, calmly for once.
“Fresh Prime, aren’t ya?” The man enquired, “figure you just made your way straight here without getting the basic equipment, huh?” he spoke, pointedly, noticing the apparent lack of any of the basic gear found on a Prime.
“Uh, yeh, I guess so.. what’re you getting at?” Black☆Star poked, rather rudely, towards the kindly stranger.
“Well, you gotta keep in contact and know what’s going on in the ‘Verse or you’ll find yourself lagging behind everyone else.” The geezer spoke, nodding amiably as he did so, as if speaking from experience, “Here, take these. It’s not much, but it’s a start. Go on, take ‘em.”
The old man prodded a pair of devices into Black☆Star’s hands. The assassin nodded his thanks as he glanced down at them, an appreciative grin forming. “Thank you.. very much!” his weapon spoke out, causing the old man to start, pulling his knees up into his chair at the sound. “That’s uh- one weird.. thing you got there, kid..” though, his words fell on near enough deaf ears, given that Black☆Star’s already short attention span had turned his very first worshipper.
“Oi, Jak! Did you see the fight?! Did you see how big I was?!” Black☆Star chortled, practically yelling across at the Prime.
