Beach Filler Episode (OPEN)
#49
Well.

Things were certainly starting to get very interesting around here. Between Gildarts Clive asking him if he wanted to go drinking with a loose-lipped molester on a private island, and the gathering cloud of marauding darkness on the horizon, the eldritch human was honestly beginning to feel just a tad overwhelmed. A pall had fallen across the otherwise ideal day, and a light wind was beginning to kick up an uncomfortable, sand-ridden breeze across the beach. Bathing beachgoers trundled back to their camps, battening down coolers of food and bags of sunblock as the downdrafts began to roll in.

Tearen was disappointed, but, for the hour he had been able to relax, it had certainly been nice. Now, though, it seemed as though the desperate nature of the Omniverse had caught up with him. Tempting though it was to go pound Dust into the dirt for smooching Gildarts' adoptive daughter, it was neither his place nor his satisfaction to have. Let the Strongest Prime tend to his horn-dog; Tearen was needed elsewhere.

That was, of course, until a red and grey clad android jetted overhead on a flying dog. The elder Prime only vaguely recognized the blur that was Protoman, but if nothing else, the sheer gravity of his power was enough to convince Tearen that, if he was on the job, the Shadow was not needed. It was good, then, that Malon decided to call him at that moment in time. As he went about gathering up his beach sundries, he had a short conversation regarding meeting up with the young Hylian and helping her cope with her new life. To the average passer-by, it would have appeared as though the dark skinned man was talking to himself, but it would have hardly been the oddest thing they had seen today.

As Gildarts went marching off to accost Dust, Tearen couldn't help but crack a wan smile. The prospect of drinking their sorrows away on a remote island did have a sort of melancholy allure to it, but alas, a father's work was never done.

A few minutes later, a crow departed the shoreline of Costa Del Sol. It was time to get back to work...

Quote:Thanks Izzy for the fun thread!

Tearen Departed for the Nexus
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
