The trio finished their sushi. Guu finished up all the leftovers, first swallowing her giant sushi and then taking what Desco offered her of what was left. Desco had bought too much, after all. Yogsothoth faded away with the last sushi taken from him. With that all and done, it was time to do something! "Desco wants to explore a little before we go anywhere!" Guu's voice was flat as usual. "Okay. Sounds like fun."
Desco led forward with Guu at her side and Gildarts behind. The crowd was big but they had no trouble walking along as a group. They had already eaten but notably observed the other food stalls along the way. If they could put it onto a stick and serve it, it was probably here somewhere.
She led up to one simple game. The objective was obvious, at least to Guu and Desco. Gildarts, with his non-Earth origins may or may not have had encountered a similar game. But in a world of widely accepted and widely used magic surely there would be more complex ways to interest festival goers. Darts and balloons, throw a dart pop a balloon. "Let's do that one!"
Desco walked up to the counter. "Come one come all! Throw some darts and win prizes!" The prizes hanging all over the edges of the stall were large stuffed animals of various kinds. "Hello there young ladies! 3 gold pieces for 10 darts! The more balloons you hit the better your prize!" "Desco wants to try!" With a smooth motion, the stall owner hit a button under the counter creating a set of stairs for someone short to step up on to for a more clear shot at the board.
The young final boss climbed up the stairs one at a time and set 3 gold pieces on the counter. The guy set down a set of darts in front of her. "Try to get at least 3 balloons and you'll get something!" She picked up one and gave it a toss at the board. It bounced off the backdrop, a rocking setting with vines all over it. "Grrr..." Desco started throwing one after another faster now. Before she knew it, she had popped 4 balloons and had no darts left. "What a great try! Here is your prize, a piece of candy!" The man slipped a hand under the counter again and produced a big stick of lime rock candy. A young boy came out from nowhere and reset the board replacing the popped balloons and picking up the darts.
"Who else? Perhaps one of your friends wants to give it a shot!" Desco looked at Guu and she shrugged, stepping up the stairs and providing the gold. "That's the spirit! Now remember, the more you hit the better your prize!" Guu stared at the darts for a few moments then she stared at the board. She picked up half of the darts with one hand and half the darts with the other. She stretched her arm back a little and launched the darts at the board, popping five, then the other set for another 5."Wow, I haven't had someone hit the balloons like that all day! Please miss, take any prize you want from out here." He pointed to the stuffed animals along the edge of the stall.
Desco looked at them as Guu did. There were a bunch of big animals around the stall. Bears, elephants, dragons, giraffes, all oversized and cartoonish in appearance. "Take that one Guu! Or that one!" Desco pointed to different random dragons hanging above.
