Mood: Chummy
--primordialPersistence [PP] responded to the memo: hello? at 4:40--
PP: gardenGnostic, I will reply to your other conversation shortly.
PP: In the mean time, I feel it prudent to welcome dairyDiarist to this discourse.
PP: I have reviewed the broadcasted footage of your fight against the Prime called Wakka.
PP: I can understand that being afraid of your rage is a healthy response in concern of what you might do while under the influence of bloodlust.
PP: At the same time, I would avoid being unnecessarily hard on yourself.
PP: Humans are emotional creatures. It is not their natural inclination to control their emotions.
PP: During times of great fear or stress, chemical reactions occur in the amygdala to trigger fight or flight responses.
PP: In your case, your brain triggered the response to fight.
PP: Though I have no doubt you are a woman of great integrity and discipline, there is little one can do when their brain has essentially drugged itself.
PP: I cannot proclaim to be any certified mental health professional.
PP: But, may I make a suggestion for the future.
PP: Perhaps instead of trying to resist the rage, try accepting it.
PP: Acknowledge its presence, and learn to love it, as it is a part of yourself.
PP: If you try too hard to suppress what is an integral part of your mind, you will, in turn, cut yourself off from all emotion.
PP: The only reason you feel shame about your 'loss of control' is because society judges it so.
PP: There is no need to submit to the circumstantial judgements of people ignorant of the rest of your character
PP: If you'd like to speak more about this at some point, either say so here, or email me, if you feel it is too personal.
PP: Until then.
PP: Stay safe.

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
