Sitting on his knees, Lycan wasn’t sure who's freedom he had wished for. Drake, while obviously dead - or at least so far away from him that it can't be confirmed or denied that it was VP - 375 that had been the star he'd seen falling and not his own - already had his freedom. Free from his leash, free from the binds that contractors had with their powers, freedom that came with death, but free. However, he had not been thinking of himself when he had been wishing for freedom so it couldn't have been his own.. Could it?
That is usually how wishes went.. You wished for something that you personally desired. Except that freedom was never on Lycan's list of desires. Actually even Star Dust wasn’t aware of the wants he may have, as contractors didn’t normally have ambitions.
Normally.
Normally none of this would ever come up, contractors didn't regularly reflect on things such as wishes, or the well being of other contractors. They didn't dwell on things, weren't normally effected by embarrassment or confusion. This wasn’t so new to him that he was frightened by it, the idea of feeling things again. What frightened him, was what this meant for him and his power.
While seemingly limited.. His power was all he had. His transformation into a beast of legends was his only card. If he had emotions and such, was he in turn, powerless? Did his lack of control suggest he was as normal a the whelp he once had been?
With these questions, Volk looked down at his hands with concern and curiosity, flexing his fingers and turning over his hands. He didn’t feel any different physically.. A bit sore in places, but sound in body. The man also knew the things he had before, the was no lack in previous knowledge or training. Specifically his ability to use a whip, physically combat abilities.. He could even reciterotic his ABC's and remember how to doggie paddle.
So it was safe to say mentally he was fine. It just seemed the constricting factors of being a contractor has been lessen by this new world. As for his power and payment, he couldn't accurately say without fully testing this. Which he first needed a willing or unwilling victim. Preferably female, and a good kisser. Too long has he gone without a voice to express an obvious preference that shouldn't need to be said outloud.
Dust looked out at the pool once more, wondering once more of what happened...
