A billowing cloud of dust and shredded grass was all that heralded the arrival of Erik Whitman as he rolled to a halt outside the imposing facade of the Colosseum. It was far from the first time he had seen it. He had spared many a glance at it in passing on his trips to and through Camelot, to and from Minas Tirith and many other small locations among the Verse. But he had never really spared it much more than a passing thought; never really paused to imagine what its splendor might be like up close and personal, or to spare thought for entertaining himself with partaking in the watching of the blood sport events within its walls.
And yet...here he was.
He sucked in a deep breath, trying to slow his heaving chest and steady his pounding heart. It had been a long trip made very quickly, and in no small part thanks to his preferred method of transportation, a rather physically demanding and taxing one. A simple click of his heels against the ground had the rocket-assisted skates fold neatly away and warp themselves into very regular-looking shoes befitting of the Lord class. He dusted his pants off, scattering the errant trail dirt and grass from his person, and tugged at his coat. "Aaaah....I do so detest covering such long-distances so rapidly...it is messy."
He breezed his way toward the Colosseum, pausing only to inquire about directions and entry from passersby, and in only a matter of minutes he had purchased his entry ticket for the violent festivities and was bounding over the grounds and into the Colosseum proper.
"Aha! I have arrived in time after all!" He was still somewhat out of breath as he hopped up stairs in the stands two and three at a time, but his perpetual smile was undisturbed, plastered as clearly and widely on his face as ever. "Where might I be able to get a good seat..." His eyes lit up as he caught wind of the particular presence of another Space player, the fact standing out almost as strongly as their proverbial 'scent' as a Prime among the throng of Secondaries in the stands.
Without even pausing he slipped aside and down one aisle and with all the grace he had displayed thus far, flopped heavily down in an empty seat near at hand to his fellow Space-wielder. He let out a few deep breaths, more than a little winded after his feat of bounding up so many stairs and down so many halls and passages to make his way up to the stands and turned his ever-smiling gaze toward the canine ear-sporting lass. "It is quite the spectacle, is it not?" he said, great bemusement evident in his tone.
