I think user elected subzones should be something considered carefully. The entire point of the Omniverse is to put your characters in situations they normally wouldn't find themselves in.
That's not to say that players need to clear it with an Angel every time they want to mention the presence of a new IP in passing, but having a great abundance of established settings scattered around like pepperoni on a pizza actually LIMITS possibilities, IMO. If you have a Kingdom Hearts character and you just want to go to Kingdom Hearts...Land, you're on the wrong site.
