The grand explosion caused by Ms.Marvel's photonic energy beam, was remarkable to say the least. Another dust cloud emerged around her victim, from which his agonizing scream could be heard.
Her conviction and determination reached the crowd's heart, as their immense cheering filled the ancient coliseum. They witnessed a spectacle like no other, the thrill of battle got them to the edge of their seats. Observing the cloud of dust and rubble, the audience held their breath, not knowing if the mighty swordsman had fallen. Gradually vision returned, and a dark silhouette started to become visible within the ashes of destruction. The assembled spectators roared once more when they learned the skirmish was not yet over, the exorcist stood strong, his blood enriched crusade would continue.
The exorcist's silver lined black coat was torn and shredded, barely resembled the elegant design it once had, hardly covering much of his battered upper body. His hair was no longer bound together, running bewildered over his back and concealing most of his face. Behind the wilderness that was once his hair, his ferocious eyes appeared to be running out of spirit, exhausted by battle.
It wasn't his stubbornness that kept him standing, nor was it his pride, it was his sense of duty as a warrior of the almighty one himself. This innocence power was bestowed upon him to vanquish demons, and so he shall.
Both of his humming energy swords were lowered towards the with blood painted grounds on which he stood. Kanda was ready to collapse, he didn't have a fight like this ever since he faced the Noah clan.
What was he doing ? He came here to find the demons Birgitta informed him about, not to get tangled up in a life or death battle with this insane bitch. It was unmistakable, that this woman will not fall by his sword alone, her spirit must be broken instead. But was he still able to ?
Once more Kanda inspected his body for injuries, assessing the damage the barrage had done. It didn't take him long to reach the worrying conclusion that his left leg was shattered. The horrendous pain coming from his limb witheld him from putting any pressure on it. His blood was flowing down his leg, he was compelled to put pressure on the wound.
'Fuck, just what I needed, this has to end now, before I fall. As god as my witness, I will break this wench's spirit, and continue my duty as an Exorcist of the Black order! her blood shall flow like the rivers of ancient Babylon.'
"Why won't you just go down ?!"
The witch's words reached his ears, dragging him out of his thoughts and right back into the hazardous duel, refilling his rage, that currently ran deeper than his blade’s cuts.
Kanda replied not with words, but a physical invitation, holding out both his swords, he resembled an angel of death with blue wings. A taunting, sinister smile appeared on his face.
His opponent wasn't blind either, this had to be a bluff. She saw he was hurt and had to take advantage of the situation. Reacting immediately ,the avenger flew straight at him with her fist forward, like an arrow she soared over the arena floor, leaving a cloud of dust behind her, she was like death flying through the sky.
Kanda was ready for their final showdown. Clenching his firm grip on his weapons he was timing the arrival of the head-on charge. The projectile that was Ms.Marvel let out an intense battle cry, right before she would collide with the wounded exorcist.
Her shout was answered with Kanda pulling one last move to silence her, within a split second the exorcist spins on his somewhat healthy leg. Creating a circle of blue innocence energy around him, he asserted his dominance with a single strike, sending Ms.Marvel crashing into one of the nearby barricades that filled their battlefield.
A pained groan resounded as Carol slowly tried to push her body upwards from the dirt, only to fall back down as she lacked the strength after that devastating blow, seemingly losing consciousness .
Kanda approached slowly, leaning on his no longer activated katana in order to keep standing. He looked down upon her," Your willpower is unyielding, I'm sorry I will have to break it, and reveal whatever it is you felt necessary to hide."
The exhausted warrior reached down, grabbing the side of the mask.
