Ururu grunted as she realized what she was doing. Something had taken hold of her, something she didn’t like. Something that didn’t go with her plans. And like an idiot she had used techniques she had specifically plotted never to let anyone fucking see unless her existence was being threatened. Or at least not until later in this tournament.
To use it in the first damn round where possibly anyone could see?
What the hell was wrong with her?
Her left claws caught the ground along with her feet and chakra as she was sent nearly sprawling backwards with the force of deflecting a blow from the Robot with her right gauntlet’s body. She took a single suffering breath of souring mood before her eyes narrowed.
A ten meter difference in this trench was held between them. That was one second of space to turn this shit around.
Her choices were limited, and killing this bastard wouldn’t change the fact that the knowledge was out and her ability to wipe specific information from the mind of beings hadn’t been recovered. If by some fucking chance that the entire audience suddenly missed her sprouting chain like appendages… well it didn’t change anything. Who knew if this thing would blab the first chance it got. All that identified her as Shinobi had been laid bare.
Everything she had done to keep her secrets the last several days was gone, unless the blizzard…
Ururu’s lips rippled in a growl that was much more her personality. She knew she was arrogant, she had every right to be but never was she a showboat like she had been just now. Nor was she so willing to display her talents. If she had she’d have died by the time her first serious mission had rolled around. Even the damn nine year old she had been was smarter than this.
Spitting, Ururu’s arms and feet began to claw herself forward. Friction and force counteracted imparted momentum. Speed was her asset but not if she was going to be sloppy. Again.
A rogue was precision. Wasted moves were unacceptable. Why attack twenty times ineffectively when two careful hits saved her from blood and dealt critical blows greater than that… frantic dipshit had been doing.
Ururu snorted as she felt Hanmyo’s disapproval and agreement with that assessment.
Earth rushed passed her even as her dark mirth made her lose precious breath and concentration. Her target needed to be taken down now, she couldn’t let this fight continue before whatever was pushing her buttons made her do something retard like use her last remaining trump card.
With another step Ururu altered her course down the hole towards the right as she raised her left arm up to intersect the thing’s neck or the equivalent.
It cleaved its sword diagonally as Ururu pivoted out of the feint more to the right. The blade slicing through her skin, into muscle as visceral bits of gore and tissue were painted across the walls with the force of the weapon and the speed of her own momentum. The pain was agonizing but she held it in.
Make up for the errors. One little hurt for one big payoff. Though it did confirm it was trying to kill her.
That’s not very nice!
With the pivot pulling her backwards so she and the robot were parallel, shoulder to well… arm bolt? Her right limb struck out to increase the spin of her body to a full 180 using its’ greater mass to slow up.
Even breaking her momentum, she was still moving forward, allowing her bend back and see behind herself with her feet and their chakra insuring stability. Now was the time, her left arm shot to grab it’s chin, hooking the bladed fingers as secure as possible. She yanked.
Muscles flexed and strained even as a thin but deep line of crimson formed an arc between the thing’s sword and her chest. Hell. she could even see a bit of breast bone flying through the air. Well that was going to really, really, hurt in a second.
Like ow…
Her calves and probably every other piece of connective tissue tightened in an instant. Ururu worked to use what leverage, strength and kinetic potential that she could muster to pull this thing into the air and reverse the parabola that her body had formed. In one almighty crash the Machine hit the ground and Ururu with it, flying some distance for defensive measures.
