The biomech whipped around as the female child soared back into the air, following her trajectory all the way back down to the wall of the ditch, where she stuck to the wall like some sort of pasty frog. The power of the Akaku was well suited to keeping track of the youth's erratic movements. As Ururu lashed out from her perch behind the Toa, Kopaka brought his shield to bear against the blow, and the twisting motion of the device slapped Ururu off balance. Kopaka attempted to seize this momentary opening, but the female's skill and reflexes saved her from being impaled on the twin tips of the Ice Sword. She did not escape the riposte completely unscathed, however, and let out a muted shriek as her left calf was sliced by the trailing edge of the blade. No blood was spilled, however.
The wound had been frozen shut instantly.
It made for a clumsy landing when Ururu landed on her side of the lip of the ditch. Inspecting the wound, she found the majority of the pain was from a deep, aching numbness. Frostbite was evident in the ugly purple marbling of flesh that surrounded the gash. She couldn't afford to wallow in agony, however; in her retreat, she had lost sight of the Toa. There was barely a moment to spare as a lance of bright blue energy rocketed out from the depths of the blizzard, forcing Ururu to roll backwards. A wide, spiky patch of fresh ice encrusted the area that she had occupied but a moment prior. A quiet moment passed, as the whipping blizzard winds and ambiance of the other deadly fights echoed throughout the expansive Colosseum. Meanwhile, inside the whirling snow, Kopaka silently switched his Kanohi from the Akaku to the Mahiki, and proceeded to conjure two illusory copies of himself. which clambered out of the veil of snow in unison. The surprise on the female human's face was evident as the incorporeal phalanx stalked out from the cover of the storm, each raising their sword and shields in unison. Kopaka himself played the role of the left-most warrior.
Ururu backed up warily and flexed her bladed fingers ever so slightly before sending a fusillade of chained talons towards the collective host of images, even as they themselves broke into a series of simple maneuvers. The one directly in front of Ururu charged directly at her, while the one on the right rolled past the attack and Kopaka himself began strafing around to the girl's right. The frenzied weapons sliced and knived through the air like rattling serpents. Being that one of the seeming clones was nearly on top of her, Ururu focused the frenetic motions of her weapon on that particular phantasm. As the claws passed straight through the projected image, however, her face screwed into a frustrated scowl at the deceit. Kopaka himself, however, was not about to let the opportunity of the girl's missed attack go to waste and rapidly closed on her position, even as she wheeled around to face him. With a desperate, leaping grasp, Kopaka snatched a length of chain from two of the claws as Ururu reeled the implements back towards her. Rather than let Kopaka take advantage of the erstwhile leash he now held her with. Ururu used the ratcheting power of the reeling mechanism within her gauntlets in conjunction with a dexterous leap. The end result of this maneuver was a mechanically enhanced flying dropkick directly to Kopaka's mask, which sent the Mahiki flying off of his face. The Toa roared in a combination of surprised and pain, staggering backwards from the counterattack and losing his grip on the two chains he had managed to get a hold of. Ururu let her own cry of anguish as a fresh spiral of agony went spiraling through her injured leg. That wasn't about to prevent her from gloating, though.
"Nice try, snowball. Also? Dear Sage, your face is weird."
Kopaka was nonplussed by the female's comment. He looked nervously over his shoulder at where his mask lay in the dirt. It was nothing short of shameful that he had managed to lose it this early in the tournament. His monolithic facial features wrenched into an enraged scowl. He had to bide his time until his elemental power was recharged...
