Tagging a thread as mature can be anything from [M] in the thread title, or as you said (Mature Content) or something similar.

For points 1 and 3, use your best judgement. You can mention sexual scenarios vaguely but going into a lot of detail is too much. (I.e. describing genitalia, etc.) If you think it may be too explicit, it likely is. Similarly, violence is a bit more tolerated (especially if it adds to the narrative) but going on for paragraphs about methodically like, flaying someone is just too much in most instances. Also take care when mentioning things that may offend certain groups (rape, abuse, etc.); these things are fine to have as a history and should be tagged as mature, but use your best judgement. If you ever think it might cross a line, it's probably too much. If you'd like a second opinion, feel free to PM a member of staff and we can judge it for you.
