King Axorn stood before the unfurled colors of the Kingdom. After what he had gone through in Coruscant, this was a nice change of pace. A good, solid bout against only one adversary. He wouldn't have to worry about anything else other than defeating someone lesser than himself.
On the other side of the battlefield, Shang Tsung stood in silence. He had little knowledge of this place, so the emblem and the giant flag behind him meant little to him. Deserters? Was this a stage play or a tournament? With a shrug, he turned his focus to the other side of the field.
Up above them, a packed crowd cheered, waiting for the signal that would commence the 'festivities.'
Someone gestured for silence, and just like that, there wasn't a sound in the building as Victor von Magnus walked onto the small platform near the center of the massive structure. With a smile, he picked up the padded hammer and smashed it into the gong, signalling the fights to commence.
