Through the sea of sand (Open)

[The Kid]

The Kid exited the portal that lead to the Nexus. It looks like he had chosen poorly, nothing but sand for miles around. It was all the eyes could see. Already he could feel his hammer and bow weighing down on him. Which is nothing when compared to his (albeit incomplete) armor. What he would give for a barge, he thought to himself.

The boy looked at his hands. Could it be done? He had drawn these two weapons from his back like he they had always been there. Could something larger be created. Omnilium, whenever he grabbed it all he could see where the blue and white shards of his old world. He gripped it and started to think. He envisioned it.

It would be twenty minutes later when the young man realized that he simply could not do it. Air travel was the primo way to get around in Calandia, if he could not summon a flying boat here then what hope was there that he could summon something else? "Nothing for it then." He said as he braced himself with his armored left arm and ventured forth. Another Kid would have turned back, perhaps to try and see what the other gate way's lead too. Not this Kid however. He had not seen a single sign of human life anywhere here. Despite being told there were others like him. When you knew only so few people, the prospect of finding others would be enough to drive anyone on. Besides, if he needed water he could always call it from the shards.

He was on his way, going no particular direction, into the Endless Dunes.
