In all honesty, Ballad could care less if the kid accepted his apology, let alone listened to him. In his own arrogance and breed of self-confidence, he knew he had won. Now, whether he had won or not is up to the interpretation of the people who witnessed the argument take place, but to those with an ego like Ballad, it was easy to win. Hell, unless he was losing, he was always winning. Him destroying a group of goons back at the white realm proved that. And, in all honesty, even if this kid wants to hurt him, she was just a kid.. hopefully. He still wasn't sure, but the looks she gave him, combined with the weird Desco thing popping up out of a little girl... I dunno. He should probably be careful. If this girl was like Desco, he could be in a world of pain.
Looking to his right, he sees the man with the weird looking gun was still leaning up against him. He still couldn't understand why the guy thought it was a smart idea to walk up to someone waving a gun around with his own gun, and even worse, act so sarcastic about it. If he were to place this guy anywhere in the list of three people in the universe, it'd be stupid. Though something told him that this guy might not be all stupid. More like chaotic, considering his eyes. I mean, holy shit, his eyes looked like someone got a black marker and drew circles around his eyes. Or at the very least and this hair white through some other means.
Rolling his eyes down to the gun in the man's hand, he says "Anyways... put the gun away, will you? You're probably making the.." Ballad takes a few moments to look at Desco, seeing her still in her final boss form. He finishes his sentence with "kids.. nervous," as he turns his head back to the man. He really didn't want to start shit with this guy, especially since he had a gun AND he was,in to the Colosseum. But if worse came to worse, and this guy really was a chaotic, or a fucking idiot, he'll have to fight back. He wouldn't have an issue with it.
Spekaing of issues, Ballad never quite understood the stigma of fighting, and possibly killing children. I mean, sure, he can understand excessive force, especially if you break a kids arm because the kid just wasn't shutting the fuck up. But can you honestly blame someone for blowing a kids head off with a gun if they start getting violent, particularly when they have a knife or a gun themselves? But nope. Some families worried sick for their kids invented that stigma, citing how wrong it was to hurt someone so young.
Bitch please. In reality, no one is so forgiving to not kill your kid because he is a kid and had 'so much to live for.' Would a snow beast not eat a child when it was hungry, and give a shit about it? Hell, be was certain snow beasts sometimes ate their young if they were hungry enough. What about nature, or better yet, snowstorms? They aren't going to stop because a kid walked, outside without actual, suitable clothing for it. If they an do it, why can't we?
Too bad no one could read Ballad's mind. Or at least he hoped no one could. It was a rather dark place, born from a lifetime on an unforgiving world, and possibly even more.
