Jaixe looked up from his dataverse device after reading the email confirmation and feeling somewhat relieved that he no longer had to continue onward about the reports of his progress. When Ash popped in with her rather odd question, Jaixe pondered for a moment before answering her with a mild tone of curiosity as to the reasoning behind such a spontaneous inquiry. "That depends on the artefact in question," Jaixe started, quickly recalling the various, although vague articles about such objects. "Each artefact serves a different function or has different capabilities unique to them." Jaixe took the device that was so nonchalantly tossed before him, and began reading the file that was left open for him to peruse through.
The files in question described a space marine and some other unclear details. It was a report and, essentially, a request for aid from the Empire, he assumed of it. "I will not ask how you got these files, though the contents are nonetheless intriguing," Jaixe spoke, almost seeming to have an undertone of a compliment when he did so. He made the simple assumption that Ash either stumbled upon them, had them delivered, or "acquired" them through means he understood fairly well.
"Why are you interested in this affair, I wonder?"
