The Hidden Halls of Edinburgh
Location: Camelot
A short walk from Minas Tirith, another small mountain sits, with the ruins of a city on top of it. The castle is the largest building in this forlorn city, actually being built partially inside the mountain. The city of Edinburgh is not Harry's base, nor the castle of the same name. They're just the landmarks.
The Hidden Halls spread beneath the inner city and castle of Edinburgh, and much of them is well-furnished and easily accessible to anyone who needs it. Harry is easily persuaded to allow wanderers to stay here for a time. The access tunnels are found in various alleys inside the city of Edinburgh; doors marked with a pentagram set into the ground, or disguised as basement entrances. The former hide ladders, while the latter have staircases down into the Halls.
Accessed through a door beneath Castle Edinburgh is an area called the Council Chambers. This is where access begins to be restricted; the wards on the door can only be unlocked by Harry or those he specifically instructs in their disarmament. There are a combination of symbols that must be struck on the oversized gate, and this combination varies by each person. This means that Harry has to re-tune the wards for each person he grants access, preventing them from teaching the combination to anyone else. The Council Chambers hold an assembly hall and much better-furnished rooms for guests. Harry's own room is accessed off the back of the assembly hall; a cozy, simple place reminiscent of his apartment in Chicago; wood-burning appliances, candles everywhere to provide light, and a small icebox filled with summoned replicas of Mac's beer, though nowhere near as good as the real thing. A trapdoor beneath a pentagram-shaped rug leads down into a basement lab.
The lab is a little cramped, and various thaumaturgic ingredients are shelved neatly around a work-in-progress model of the city of Edinburgh. A shelf holds various romance novels propped between two candles. Harry still needs to summon Bob to the Omniverse at some point. A summoning circle, made of interwoven bands of iron and copper and inscribed with protective charms, sits in one corner of the lab.
I plan on having Harry discover Edinburgh after the Rathalos fight, as well as the beginnings of the tunnels underneath the city. He'll spend a couple days finishing the inner parts to his satisfaction, summoning up Bob, and then finally kicking back with a bottle of beer. Maybe someone else can join him and help him out in exchange for a place to stay.
