They are wanted you to include so many mentions of certain words, and slant the post in favor of certain people, right?
This is what is happening. People create these blogs and use them to link to sites, charging people for the links. Then they get money from advertising, and the blog itself works as an ad. The words they want you to mention are what in the SEO word are called keywords. They are words people type in when looking for things.
Then there are the site wide blog links.
Google is cracking down on the site wide links, but I can already see one way around it.
This way they can avoid being detected for ripping off other people blogs, or auto generating material.
They also will probably have a link on the site linking back to the business they work for, which until recently would boost their own site's ranking.
