Christa’s eyes drooped as she stood before Omni. She hadn’t prepared any sort of speech for this moment, she figured she honestly would just wing it. Now, here they were, and her lips couldn’t find the words. A struggle formed within her, almost torturous as the coils of strife wove deeply into her being.
Christa clenched her trembling hand into a ball as she mustered up the courage to breathe. She then realized, the courage was not from within her, but it was given to her, by the image of her sister. The leader’s eyelashes batted against themselves as her expression warped into one of regret.
Why are you here? The secondary imagined Omni would ask, taking up his valuable time, invading his valuable land in Valhalla. A twinge of pain dropped into her stomach, she was suddenly sick with fear.
Why had Katia collected them all here? Sure it hadn’t her Katia. That was why Christa was here. But they had been united by the ghost, and Christa now looked over her shoulder to see everyone that had made it this far. She knew she would have never gotten this far -actually making it to Omni’s throne- without their help... That must have been Katia’s reason for collecting everyone here. Or, perhaps deep down, the ghost wanted to see the nine other secondaries’ dreams come true, just like her sisters. There was no way in knowing. The ghost was gone, but the question remained.
Thought tangled within her mind as she witness the goblin announce his desires before her. The leader took in a gulp of air, and realized that tears were streaming down her freshly pink cheeks.
All her emotion, all at the thought of her sister. It all showed on her face.
“I...” Christa began, wondering if the use of her favorite pronoun was really something to be used in front of the great Omni himself. It didn’t matter, she had made it this far. What was one last sentence spoken after all she had been through? Her words came from her lips, cold as stone, and with passionate and wavering words, Christa was determined to speak only on the single breath she had taken from the room.
“I came here. I traveled through three far-different worlds. United these peoples' hopes and dreams. I came here to find you, and I suffered along the way. I was brought to this place unknowingly -unwillingly- and I changed with every trial thrown in my face. I surpassed every challenge your world has thrown at me. And I have endured. During this time, my life -I existed only for the sole purpose of finding you. But don’t you think I did this for you. Don’t you damn think that I came all the way here for you. Because that's a damn lie.”
“I did it for her. I’m here for my sister. All you have to do, is bring her back.”
