Klee and Shen buzzed low over the endless arboreal sea that was the Tangled Green, homing in on the beacon that denoted the location of Demetri Malius' dataverse device. Compared to trying to track down the wayward Cat, the two Aspects were enjoying the straight forward mission. Frankly, being able to get this crossed off of their list so that they could move on to even more tasks was a thrilling emotion indeed. Yes, the Aspects were aware that they had essentially been mentally programed to derive pleasure from completing assigned tasks, but they did not necessarily hold this against The Master. All living beings have some sort of mental imperative that they strive to fulfill. For most biologicals, that imperative was reproduction. The differences between that sort of instinctual drive and subconscious compulsion that drove the Aspects was a matter of pure semantics.
Still, the pair would not let themselves indulge in the luxury of such philosophical pondering just yet. Their target was directly below, and they needed to drop off this hard drive. Klee and Shen plummeted down through the canopy of the dense forest below, directly into the clearing in which Demetri and Daxter stood. The two other denizens immediately went on the defensive as these enigmatic polygons literally dropped out of the sky, but as they spoke in their resonant voices, Demetri immediately relaxed. Daxter, however, was less quick to drop his guard.
"Hello Demetri Malius and Friend. We come from Nealaphh with IRIS in tow."
"Hey man, we got your robot girl here."
Daxter looked to Demetri with a wide eyed stare, his fists still held up in a manner reminiscent of that of a boxer. Demetri held out a downturned hand and approached the hovering crystalline constructs.
"Yes, thank you. Nealaphh told me you might be visiting." Demetri said in his eternally calm voice. The red and blue hues of the Aspects pulsed in self-appointed pride. The informant came to a halt just in front of the pair, not entirely sure how to proceed. In that instant, there came a strange stretching, brittle sound as Shen's body seemed to crack apart in the middle. The top half of his geometric form separated from the lower, revealing the small piece of gleaming hardware nestled snugly inside the strange glass substance that comprised his alien form. Demetri gingerly reached out and plucked the hard drive from the crystalline mass, which summarily snapped shut with what Demetri could have sworn was a satisfied click.
"Alright then." Demetri murmured, gently tucking the piece of technology into one of his endless pouches. By the time he looked back, Klee and Shen were already gone. The only thing that indicated their hasty departure were a few damp leaves flitting down from the dense canopy above. A moment passed before the spy turned back to his new orange friend. Daxter was just staring at the spy with a flummoxed expression, to say the least.
"What...was...that?" he asked, throwing his arms out in exasperation.

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
