Rage of the Rathalos (Saga)

[Harry Dresden]

As Harry and the pegasus rider, Cauthon, approached the Rathalos' perch, another rider circled back around with a message for Cauthon; "Drop your Prime and circle overhead." Harry nodded in agreement, and Cauthon said nothing, though he looked a strange mix of relieved and confused. "Stars and stones, I don't know what's going on, but that Omni guy said death wouldn't be the end for me. I take it he didn't say the same for you?" The military man shook his head and opened his mouth, but Harry cut him off. "Then don't worry about me. This is just another day on the clock." The pegasus flew low to the ground as it entered the mouth of the cave and Harry slipped off, advancing at a jog through the dragon's lair. He came in right behind the dragon-armored girl and the orange-armored one.

The wizard advanced as the second dragon made itself known. "Hell's bells. One of them wasn't enough?" The cave's lighting was adequate, but it was about to get a lot brighter in here. "So, tin lady, you got a plan? Or at least a name, so I know what's gonna be on the tombstone next to mine?" He stopped walking and planted his staff in the ground next to the two armored women as the dragons roared their challenge. "I'm Harry Dresden. Professional wizard." The pins and needles in his right hand had ceased long ago; a sign that he could use his soulfire again. It usually didn't start hurting that quick. Harry would need to have words with that Omni character about that.
