The Final Question
#1
[spoiler]
Quote: Congrats, you’ve all made it to the Oververse, after some very hard work and commitment.

But, you also just killed an angel.

You have to venture to find Omni -who is currently in the halls of Valhalla-, as you aren’t presented quite on his door (sorry). So the second half of this thread will be confronting Omni. Yes! And we have a system for that.

But before, there will be some wanderings in the OV to find Omni. Like below, where Christa is about to hold a celestial being against a wall, in a desperate search for the so well-known, man-in-white.

First half of the Oververse begins now. It will last half the week. There is NO rush to posting this round, as we have made it to our final destination. Post what you like. When you like, however the confrontation with Omni will be posted a tad bit later. Sorry to make you wait guys, but we HAVE to explore the Oververse at least a little.

The second half will be more rapid and fast paced.

You made it.
GET READY

Soft sketches of white fluff covered the expansive world, rolling stone pillars rose to the limitless sky, and infinite clouds dispersed over the golden horizon. It was not the sun, however, that glowed there, but a bright city that illuminated the crests of every cloud. If one stopped to pause, they would notice how majestic a beauty it was to behold. Almost more beautiful than the achievement the group had just conquered.

To no one’s surprise, Christa was the first to vanish. They had made it. She had made it.

This was it.

The Oververse. It had taken months, if not well over a year since she had been damned to this existence, and now, through it all - all the blood, pain, and sorrow - through it all, she was ready to conquer the last leg of her quest.

Funny thing about her wobbling legs, they finally moved when she willed them to. She was off the back of the man who had carried her there. The pass into the Oververse, and she owed it to him. Later, she would make it clear, she owed nothing to him. Very clear. But, the leader’s entitlement aside, and the motivation properly applied to her stiff, electrocuted legs, made them walk, jump, and pounce upon the clouds.

The blonde was careful not to fall below, as who knew what would happen or if she would be able to climb back from down there, but she used the stability and had made it across the way.

Immediately she spotted her prey - an angel who was coming to greet her- but to his surprise, her grip slammed him against a pillar. Christa demanded to know where Omni was, almost ferociously. The angel’s wings were crushed against the now crumbling wall of energy. The strong being seemed to smile but offered the defiant girl no words as he read the passion on her face. The angel's own soft radiance was almost merciful to Christa and when she picked up on it, she soon felt belittled. Fury roared within her chest, her hair spiked animatedly with intensity, yet despite all odds, she did not follow through with a fist.

After a moment, nose to nose with the angel, the woman let out a small huff as she relinquished her fist, having realized that it was not her own force holding the angel against the wall, but its own freewill.

The rage choked in her throat, however she tamped it down and swallowed it down her throat. It rolled into the pit of her stomach, uncomfortably. She dusted off her hands, almost managing to shake off the shame as she muttered the smallest, “Sorry,” possible.

She breathed out a breath and instead took hold of her emotion, she would not let it seize her again, not when the others could see. A quick glance over her shoulder confirmed at least half of them were looking this way.

The being spoke now, confidence brimmed in its all-powerful voice, yet it looked upon the human with only care. “Come child, you are hurt. Sit. Your questions will be answered in time.”

Christa’s lungs expanded with a sigh, she knew that, but so much time had already been wasted. So much, almost everything, had been lost. Even herself along the way. Or rather, on that fateful day. Christa thought about everything endured as the angel introduced himself as none other than, “Raphael.”
