A Visionary Idea
#2
Weiss kept walking down the seemingly endless path she found herself on. Just how long was this road going to stretch on, anyways? Weiss hoped the coliseum, at least, was actually marked on the map she'd been given. The salesman she'd met was more than a little shifty...
And she'd given him a full description of the person she was trying to find safe and sound. "Good job, Weiss. Just open up to the creepo who wanted to make a mask out of you."

she clenched her fists at the thought, realizing she might have done nothing more than paint a target on Ruby's back. And that if she just kept asking around like an idiot, that would be all she accomplished.
Assuming she was alive and well, of course, but Weiss could not, and would not, assume anything less. Her leader was here, and she would find her. No matter what she had to do along the way. If nothing else, she'd make damn sure to win this tournament.

Weiss took a deep breath at that. The Tournament. She realized she actually hadn't thought about just what going there meant. From what she was told, there would be plenty of primes there. People like her. People used to the Omniverse. she rested a hand on Myrtenasters hilt. From a glance, she could see that Myrtenaster's dust chambers - normally kept meticulously sorted and filled - were hollow, which meant that, at least right now, she couldn't fight like she was used to. She'd have to rely purely on her swordplay and her now vastly weakened aura.

The opponents she would face would probably have a bunch of this omnilium, or whatever that stuff was, that Omni had given her. some might even be looking specifically for the Omnilium from other people. And she was no fool, either - the whole 3 day rule combined with the fact it was literally held at a coliseum meant Weiss could be facing death on a loss.

Weiss frowned. What was she doing? This could be her ticket to actually getting closer to finding Ruby. Maybe finding all her friends, assuming they were here. Failure was not an option here, for any reason. She gripped Myrtenaster tightly, and took a deep breath, stopping her walk briefly as she thought back to the countless maneuvers, the days after days of countless training, the constant murmurs of "prodigy" she'd heard throughout her life.
She'd been sharpening her edge all her life... If she couldn't manage to win a simple tournament - no, if, even with something so important riding on the line, if she could manage to lose anything - what was the point?
