Destination: Desperation
#18
Pain pulsed through her as she bent at the knee and lifted the body with her legs, but the only complaint he heard from her was the occasional hiss through her gritted teeth. Her jaws remained clench through out the whole process of tossing the bodies mob style. They varied in weight and height, but dead weight seemed to make things heavier. She managed to handle her half of it well though, even if she wasn't the strongest physically.

Jaixe wasn't your common name, not even in her time. That being said, it was actually one of the coolest names she's heard. She had no earthly idea on what it meant, but she had a feeling it didn't matter. A lot of things in the long run didn't matter. Apparently even getting shot didn't. Jaixe spoke like it was more annoying that the bullet wound was visible, despite the red only making her skin look more purple. The black pants didn't carry the color so well, but if she accidentally brushed up against something, she could leave a mark without even knowing it until it was too late. That thought made her note that Jaixe seemed like the careful type. Cleaning up their mess, hiding a suspicious wound, he sounded like the planning type. A complete contrast to her. Ash didn't always go head first into things, but it was her plan B a good part of the time. For someone who originally looked like puberty barely touched her for the majority of her life, she took the world on rather often..

She's had to. It's only been her against the world for as long as she can remember.

"A dress should cover the bullet whole." She mentioned. Really.. A multitude of things would properly hide the wound. A shirt that reached further down, pants that fit higher on her body, a belt if it were large enough. But she found something amusing about wearing a dress after going urban solider and eliminating a faction of gang member who sought to rule the fifth tier. In the grand schemes of things, it was just a game of king of the hill, who could hold this mound of useless ground the longest. But it was probably everything these programs knew. "I'll change as soon as it stops bleeding." She added, before moving on to the next body.

While Jaixe, thankfully, handled the men on the other side of the chasm. She could have swung over with her hook, or tried to just pull them into the hole in the city, but besides being unpredictable, it possibly could have worsen the wound, and the point was to stop it from bleeding. Not reopening it. So she focused on that task, even ripping off a piece of her corsets tail and using it like gauze, putting as much pressure on it as she could. When he was done with that, they started back on their path for the Achieves.

Soon enough they were coming up on the Archives of Ultan, which Ash has been constantly checking their progress on her Comm. According to the map she had downloaded, they were only a few 'blocks' away now. In the mean time she has gone through a change of clothing.

As promised, she was wearing a dress now. Something that looked straight out of a punk catalog, probably because it did. It was a lace up dress, the back missing and a black ribbon crisscrossed in the back, the bow sitting at the bottom, which was the small of her back just above where her tail started. If you were looking at her from behind, you could also see the black bird printed on her skin, and a silver ring on the back of her neck. It jack-port looked like something you stuck a pair of head phones in, but the size of a nickle, with a whole as big as a dime.

The dress itself was a sweet heart top, naturally strapless. The fabric had a black and crimson diamond pattern though out the main part. The diamond patter flared out in an a-line, which made it drape over her hips and came down mid-thigh. There is a solid bright red layer under that, a sheer black layer beneath that, then it all repeated itself once, each going just a little further down her legs, so that it was about 4 inches higher than her knees. In the back, the dress maker attached to tails of the sheer between the first later of sheer and the next layer of diamond, which hung down to her calves. Down the center of the dress was a 6 inch strep of black lace with more diamond patterns framed by silver beading that stopped in a v-shape just before the skirt started.

And a girl in a dress wasn't without accessories. She wore thigh-high stockings that were also red and black, only thinly striped, with frilly red bows stitched in the back on the highest part of the curve of her calves. And on her feet.. Simple shiny black flats. She wore simple black arm warmers that stopped at her elbows, and the only other notable change was a set of earring in the middle of her pointed ears were now rings with flat metal diamonds hanging off chains. She didn't conjure up a necklace of any kind, mostly because she didn't have any in mind. Also, there was already a lot going on in this outfit. "Were almost there." She said, putting the hardware part of her Comm back into a hidden strap. As she was dressed now, The Quill was the only weapon that was hidden, somewhere under the flowing layers of sheer and diamonds. Her launching brace for her Claw remained on her forearm, over the arm warmer, and the grappling hook itself sat at her hip as usual.

Warning: Anything that involves Ash should be rated M. Possibly higher.

Erik Vrell : Ash has a 'love' fourth dimensional shape
Erik Vrell : As in its wide and unfathomable for us mere mortals
