Looks like the horned woman was a skilled fighter after all, as Jaixe had judged of her. When the pair redirected their attention to the now dumbfounded mob boss called Titan, who stood surrounded by the cold corpses of his fallen employees, Jaixe’s wicked leer persisted.
“If you were an alliance of Primes, you might have been worthwhile…” Jaixe taunted the man, stepping forward and over the bodies of the slain without a care or respect for their efforts. Titan seemed to crawl back at every step the two took towards him, a dark aura erupting from Jaixe in particular, in tandem with the burning enmity from Ash behind him.
“But as it stands, you’re just insects waiting to be stamped upon, as that’s all you’re really worth.” Jaixe sneered at the shrinking mob boss, energy flowing into his palm once more. “It’s a shame that we have to take the life of someone so wretched, but I can’t abide having witnesses... now can I?” His stopped a few feet from the man, who was now up against the railing, clenching it for whatever false security could be found in the act.
His fists were white, he was sweating, his eyes were filled with fear, and his expression was that of confusion and a silent loathing. He was made silent and humble before the duo, and here a man stood, poised to wipe out his existence forever.
And Jaixe reveled in it all. This was what he missed so dearly in the past few days. This thrill that flowed through him, empowering him.
He grinned even wider, if that was possible, and a purple beam of violently shifting energy flew forth from Jaixe’s palm, slicing cleanly through Titan’s head and obliterating it entirely. The now limp, charred, and smoking body seemed to let go of the rail it clung to for false hope and fell to the abyss that waited below. The darkness, in turn, seemed to welcome him with open arms as he dissipated into its embrace.
Jaixe stood for a moment longer, his eyes glinting like stars and his beaming face seeming to shine at the events that transpired. “How exhilarating their faces were…” He murmured softly, before snapping out of his enthrallment in the moments and turning his attention to the onyx-horned woman, his smile seeming to evaporate as he did so and his expression returning to a more collected and, more importantly, sane. Though his eyes still seemed to glow ever so brightly in the dimly light area of the Fifth tier of Coruscant.
She seemed livid at the time, though he was curious to see how she fared now.
