And this week just keeps getting better, as it seemed to Jaixe. He glared incredulously at the young lady when she righted herself and observed Jaixe with what seemed to be a mixture of curiosity and familiarity. A blue-skinned, slender figured, horned being with a grappling hook attached to her wrist, and wearing an interesting set of colorful clothing. How lovely…
Though when she spoke as though she had seen Jaixe before, that’s when he found this whole ordeal even more irritating. He knew he had not seen her before, unless she was some changeling with an impeccable memory. “I didn’t expect to see an imitation demon come dangerously close to knocking me over, though I suppose we all have to live with such annoying surprises… whoever you are.” He spoke with a little more venom than what he intended as he continued to glare at the woman, his orange eyes glowing in the darkened area they found themselves in.
He didn’t have time for this… And given her hastiness, she was probably tracking unwanted company. Likely some upstart crime boss, given the state of affairs he had read about in the library on the first tier. Though he hoped it wasn’t to the likes of Titan or Viper, which were some the larger leaders in this sector of the city, though that wasn't saying much, and they'd probably be viewed as upstarts. Still, their relentless nature would prove irritating, and given Jaixe's fortune... He wasn't going to take that chance if he had a choice.
“I don’t know you and you likely have me confused for some other person who can tolerate your rudeness.” Jaixe stated coldly, and then turned to walk down the concrete walkway with an annoyed atmosphere surrounding him.
