I imagine that bold, italics, and underline are relatively minor offenses and might not even be covered, as their BBcodes are very abbreviated (3  characters to open, 4 close)

I presume it's when you get to color switching that it starts getting dicey, because making this requires 18 characters to open and close, and that's with a color that has three letters. Moreover, if you're coloring speech, odds are you're going to do this a fair amount of times in every post you make, rather than as an occasional emphasis. Over time, it adds up.

I'm not sure how the editing with the new BB works, however. Like, I can use the toolbar above me right now to change the text color sans BBcode, but I'm not sure if that's merely being hidden from me or not.
