He had been walking for a few minutes, and the gate still didn't seem much closer. Just how much farther away was it, he wondered? Well, however much farther away it was, he was starting to feel tired just from looking at it. But, then, he shook his head. No, he couldn't be like this. He had walked, even ran much farther distances than this. And, while he wasn't sure he was even fully his normal self in this place, he pressed on. There was no way anyone or anything was going to get the better of him. He was going to find his way in this world, and, nothing and noone was going to try and stop him. He pressed on.
About twenty minutes later, though, he was starting to feel a bit thirsty. "Hmmmmmmmm...Wonder if I can get some nice, cool, refreshing soda pop using that Omnilium stuff I have in me." And, so, holding out his hand, he attempted to summon a delicious can of Koopa Kola into it. Soon, that fizziness would be his! Or, so he thought, as nothing seemed to happen. Frowning, he kept on sticking out, and opening his hand, as if the delicious soda would just instantly appear, as if by magic! But, still nothing. Growling, he started sticking his hand out faster, and more repeatedly, hoping he would get the soda like. Finally, when nothing happened, he started to do a bit of a Koopa angry dance, ranting and raving about how stupid this universe was, and how he couldn't even get a simple soda when he wanted it. When, suddenly, something occured to him.
"Could it be, that this isn't...Instantaneous? That I actually have to wait a certain amount of time for something that I want?" He sighed, sounding pretty annoyed at this sudden turn of events. "Ah, well, how much time can it really possibly take, just to summon a stupid can of soda?" He held his hand out, and, waited this time. Waited and concentrated, thinking about that delicious Koopa Kola flavor he would get. And, after about three minutes of waiting, it finally appeared in his hand. He grinned. Finally, things were starting to go his way! He quickly popped open the can, and swiftly began to guzzle down that evil goodness. That refreshing flavor, said to have been created in the part by the screams of mentally anguished Toads. Once it was fully emptied, he sighed with satisfaction, crumpled the can again his head, before tossing it right behind him. Well, time to keep going. It looked like he still had quite a long walk ahead of him.
An hour later, he started panting. Man, he figured he could go at least a little farther before getting tired. But, at least it seemed he was almost three-fourths of the way there. That had to count for something, right? So, he decided to take a bit of a rest. As he sat down, he suddenly yawned. Huh. Sleep hadn't made him that tired, had he? Well, he was almost reluctant to take a nap...But, then again, who would really see him all the way out here? And, when would he get a chance to do something like this ever again? Soooooo, he spent three minutes summoning a sleeping bag, and, then another three minutes summoning a koopa-themed teddy bear. He unrolled the sleeping bag, and unzipped it, getting inside. Grabbing his teddy bear, he pulled it in with him, and smiled. "Good night, Lord Shellington. Time for us to get some rest for about an hour or so." He grinned menacingly. "I have so many things that I want to do in this Omniverse~" Then, hugging his teddy bear close, he snuggled in, and drifted off to sleep.
He woke up in an hour or so, relieved that apparently noone had seen him like that at all. And, to keep it like that, and to keep others from finding the evidence, he got out of the sleeping bag, and spit out a single spark from his mouth at the sleeping bag. Watching it go up in flames, he couldn't help but feel a bit of a relief at the fact that noone was going to know this had ever happened. So, with that in mind, he continued onwards. As he did so, he couldn't help but think of his siblings again. He wondered if he would meet them in this Omniverse. Oh, granted, there were times working together as the Koopalings could be pretty fun. Quite a few times, actually. But, to him, they were overshadowed by the way he felt about most of his older siblings, how they thought they were better to him. Oh, he would definitely show them. Eventually, at least. But, for now, he kept on walking.
After about thirty-something minutes later, he finally arrived infront of the gate. Well, it was about time. Finally, he was going to get out of this boring landscape, and into a place that might have some real action. He turned around, however, and gave this world one more look around. Well, it may not have been much, but, at least he felt like he might have gotten a little bit stronger from all this walking. So, turning back to the gate, he opened it right up, and then headed into The Ashed Steppes.
