Actually, that rule's been changed. I don't think Omni's had time to alter the rules page yet, but he's decided to allow flying vehicles/mounts everywhere now; as seen in this thread, in which Samus summons her ship (and then flies about in it), whilst in Camelot.

So your platform can fly in any verse now.
