Assuming he had unlimited space to fly upwards and you had nowhere to hide, but that's usually not the case. I do recommend getting a ranged attack at some point though. But since flight constantly drains your fatigue at a small rate in this RPG, by hiding you can force characters to come to you. Theoretically. In a fight I doubt anyone would be that boring. >_>
In future you could just take flight and role-play it as a series of air kicks. In the meantime I'll leave it as is. Your account is approved so you're okay to begin role-playing.
