Omniverse Dream Log
#6
This one is from Monday night, but pretty vivid (enough that I was able to draw parts) and really long... plus it involves Athena.

I started out in a big department store (for some reason, this is pretty common for my dreams). I was sort of wandering around between the shelves for a while - I stumbled across an unmanned photo booth, but I think I just noticed it and then passed by. As I was walking around, I noticed a robot floating (not magically, though - floating in a sci-fi sense) back and forth, like it was on patrol. I knew it was going to try and do something bad to me, so I started running in the other direction, but I didn't seem to be getting any farther away from it. It had one large, kind of conical arm that it pointed at me. At the end of the arm (the wide, circular end) was a large, round red light that lit up as it was pointed at me, and everything around me disappeared as I was teleported into a different dimension.

I landed in a grassy, area - it was like a large park. There were a few wood-chip areas with curving slides and climbing sets and such. There were a few of my friends there (although I didn't actually recognize them - I just knew they were my friends), and we banded together to run from the robot, which had followed us there. Insert chase scene here. At the same time, we were looking for one of my friends, who was running from us. He had a wallet or some other rectangular object that we needed, but he was keeping it away from us as some sort of game. Finally, we cornered him on one of the slides, and I grabbed it from him. After that, my friends stopped running from the robot and joined up with him (literally - in a line). I still didn't want to leave, though (it was going to take us to yet another dimension), and I kept running. I knew it would eventually catch me if it continued pursuit, but it decided (I heard its voice in my head, even though it wasn't talking to me) to leave me there, since I wanted to stay. It was at this point that I noticed that I was actually Athena, rather than myself (it was the only time I saw myself from a third-person perspective).

Cut to an entirely different area. It's night time, I'm myself again, and I'm walking around a college campus where the buildings and paths are composed mostly of red brick. I walk until I find myself on a few stairs leading down to a small plaza with a low, square fountain and a little tree in the corner. I sit down on the stairs and look out at a colorful lit city in the distance. I decide I want to go to college here just because it's so pretty, but I can't remember which campus I'm on. I look at the tree, and its leaves are shimmering in all these pale colors - lavender, neon green, orange, and red, mostly. This is completely normal. I turn around and look behind me. My friends from Eclipse Phase (people I do recognize this time) are all walking up, including our GM (who moved away IRL). They come into the plaza and sit around the fountain, doing their normal things (talking, looking at their phones, playing Nintendo, etc.). A few of them sit down around a table next to the fountain, which is where we're going to be playing D&D (which I realize as I suddenly remember why I'm there). Then one last person walks up. He tells us all to guess his name. He looks exactly like a friend of mine from middle school, so I guess that guy's name, but he says not quite. Immediately he no longer looks anything like that person (complete with his hair color changing from light blonde to black). This person is named something like Flick, and he's going to DM the session. We all walk to the table and sit down, and that's when I wake up.

I like the visuals of my dreams better than the stories, most of the time. I might post my drawings of this one here later. ||3
