Well, fuck you too, temple. Just when I thought I could take a moment to breathe, shit started going down yet again. Ugh… If I weren’t already dead, the stress would be killing me. First, blondie tackles me (and that other guy but who cares about him, anyway?) to the ground. Before I can get pissed at her, a rusted arc of metal swings out from the wall and I’m immediately thankful she kept my head on my shoulders. Then, ol’ dummy decides to set off another trap and now we’re running through this damned hallway, trying not to fall into a pit as the floor behind us tumbled away into a black void. This day just keeps on getting shittier and shittier, I tell ya.
Of course, by run, I mean the other guys were running. I, on the other hand, was shambling along like a dumbass. One good thing about being last in line? Everyone else was setting off those whirling blades and saving me a lot of hassle in trying to avoid them. The bad part? That fall into the depths was catching up to me quick. Fuck! I had to figure out a better way to get this body moving if I wanted to survive. Then it hit me! Yeah, that would work.
Hey! Listen up you piece of shit zombie motherfucker. See that guy up there with the lame-ass hat? I bet there’s something yummy in there, pal. Go get ‘im.
“Uh?” I replied to myself, obviously confused. If I head control over my hand, I’d probably be face-palming right now. Alright, look. Brains. BRAAAAAINS. Ya feel me? Get up there!
“Brains…?” I asked curiously before my dead eyes settled upon Abner. Then it was like I was struck by a lightning bolt. Despite my rather large meal of goblin, the prospect of some juicy brainmatter was just too damn enticing to pass up.
“BRRRRAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIINSSSSS!” I shouted as I took off in a much more hurried manner. I soon caught up to Christa, the blonde chick with the gun fixation and she eyed me askance from my peripherals. I wish I could have told her I wasn’t REALLY gonna eat the guy and that I was just trying to get moving a bit quicker. Instead, I settled for a barely noticeable shrug of the shoulders and a “Uhhnnn…”
Maybe that’d be good enough.
