Sweeping through the branches and undergrowth, the mysterious black fog decimated everything in its wake. The members of the once powerful and fearsome tribe were now being cut down by the dozens, helpless in the face of this supernatural phenomenon. The group of secondaries, who had put up a valiant fight and held onto their position, could only watch as the orcs and goblins were consumed by this mysterious force — their yells of agony and terror echoed throughout the jungle.
In the face of this devastation, the secondaries almost unanimously heeded Christa's warning and made a mad dash for the temple. However, some had more trouble than others retreating into the inside of the structure....and much to their horror, the temple doors suddenly began to descend, threatening to strand anyone who wasn't quick enough outside.
Grave had just introduced himself to his new allies when the retreat was sounded. Though a skilled warrior, even he recognised that the black entity would cut him down like the feral creatures if he stuck around. However, his attention was so focused on the incoming threat that he failed to notice one of his victims near him still drawing breath. Knowing that it was moments away from death, its hatred and spite prompted to make one last cheap shot. Just as Grave was about to make a run for the temple, it took a nearby fallen spear and struck at the man, hitting his side. Crying out in pain, the silver-haired warrior instinctively kicked away his assailant and removed the weapon. The spearhead hadn't sunken deep into his flesh, but the bleeding and impeded movement made his dash for the temple more challenging.
Wanting to help as many of his would-be allies get to safety, Abner provided covering fire for the secondaries who still hadn't made it inside. However, out of desperation, some of the fringe foes also tried their luck reaching the safe haven. One of them was an orc, who charged at the stormtrooper in order to cut his way through. Knowing he wouldn't have time to reach for his dagger, the soldier unleashed a salvo of blaster fire. He was successful in shooting the creature down, but its forward momentum was strong enough that its axe still managed to cut through the flesh of his left arm as the body plummeted to the ground. Dropping his firearm, Abner instinctively reached for the wound — it was deep. Having done all he could, the stormtrooper picked up the rifle and retreated into the temple himself.
Zora, being as swift as she was managed to be one of the first inside the temple. She bounded into the darkness, unable to stop her own momentum. In her haste she was unable to stop until it was too late. A small gap, just barely large enough to accomodate her leg trapped her. A dry twisting sound echoed through the ruined building and she yelped in pain. With a special tenderness she pulled her foot from the crevice and tried to put weight on the damaged limb. Sharp shards of agony jumped through her leg and she was forced to lean against a crumbling pillar for support.
Jan’s military training kicked into high gear and he followed the retreat. The soldier dipped and dove through several orcs and goblins, avoiding their blades. It would seem that the ISA agent was about to be home free, but a rogue arrow ripped through the air. With a sickening *THUNK* the wooden shaft buries itself deep into Jan’s upper back. He screamed in pain as the foreign object made its presence known. Fighting through the pain he was able to drag his body into the confines of the ruins before the door slammed shut.
The Hylian girl was quickly snapped to attention by the sounds of retreat. In her pensive state she responded slowly. She took one last thoughtful look at the goblin corpse before breaking into a dead sprint towards the temple doors. Lyra ran as fast as her little legs could carry her, with the rest of the group falling back the tide of orcs had begun to collapse upon them. The verdant surge of bodies moved frighteningly fast, threatening to crush the girl beneath their brutish stampede. To her dismay the door began to lower slowly, but with the distance between her and safety the door might as well have been already been shut. Adrenaline pumped through her body and she ripped across the grass and dirt with blinding speed. With a dive she managed to skirt underneath the temple door as it slammed shut behind her.
Shaking hazel eyes fixed on the black dawn as it crested the horizon and loomed over every leaf with it's gentle smoky plume. Stiel's eyes traced the black cloud's aloof silhouette, rushing forth, racing for him with the thundering doom of a warring stampede.
His heavy eyes hung on his own deathly fate as the orc's freshly slain body remained at his feet, slowly the pool of blood was spreading below his shoes. The macabre ball of death seemed to flood the empty air, Stiel flicked his katana, steadied and unwavering as it was held up to the cloud and he stared death in the face.
What was he going to do, slice it?
Well, it bought him time, as the cloud shuddered away from the blade's swift lunge. Everything could be cut given the right angle, however it did not seem as though he could defeat the Goliath-sized threat and swiftly he turned up the earth and quickly fled after the others.
Perhaps because he was a straggler, perhaps he had taken too long, all he knew was that the door sealed before he could reach the rest. Exiled, abandoned, the youth slammed his fist against the stone angrily and quick on his tail was the rumble of chanting drums as the shade's movement filled the clearing and reality now dawned on him.
Lion statues had bought him the time he needed to ensure his survival and Stiel's feet carried him to the "safety" that was the depths of the Tangled Green.
Tooth, who was high above the battlefield watched with horror at the carnage taking place. The little fairy lacked the stomach for such brutality and was paralyzed by the slaughter. When the group called for retreat the fairy snapped into action. She attempted to follow the group into the ruins, but alas she was unable to reach them before the door shut. Seeing Stiel’s escape into the forest she followed suit, not wanting to become the warband’s next victim.
Destiny also ended up being unkind to Beor. He had barely reached the location of the temple when he witnessed the devastation wrought by the mystical fog. By the time he sought to seek shelter, the doors of the temple had already closed. With his only other avenue of escape literally cut-off, the mercenary hastily returned to the jungle. His quest would have to wait for another time; immortality was no good to a dead pig, after all.
Inside the darkened temple Rictoffen stood still, trying to observe his surroundings. Unfortunantly asides from the dim glow of several weapons he was unable to see anything. All around the part the temple creaked and groaned, as if adjusting itself for the newcomers. Chunks of stone fell from the cieling and clattered against the stone floors. The german scientist finally decided to step forward, but fate would prove this to be a foolish decision. A chunk of stone broke free from its prison and fell onto the german, crashing into his right shoulder. “Himmeldonnerwetter!” he exclaimed.
The good doctor didn't end up being the only victim of the falling debris. Accompanied by thunderous shaking, the ceiling above them began to collapse in on itself. Blinded by darkness, the group rushed forward in terror as the world around them crumbled. Like Rictoffen, some were unfortunate enough to be pelted by the falling rocks, giving their bodies a nasty beating. By the time they reached a section of the inner complex that wasn't collapsing, the entranceway behind them had long been covered by dust and debris. For better or worse, they were stuck inside.

But all of them were silenced when an orb of light appeared, illuminating the massive chamber they had found themselves in. Concealing their eyes from the sudden burst of brightness, they then stared at the phenomenon with bated breath. After a few moments, another flash occurred and all of them disappeared from the chamber, scattered all around the underground complex in groups. Why? Nobody could say....nor did any of them know what trials awaited them within the depths of the temple as they attempted to find their way out.

Stiel, Tooth and Beor have fled into the jungle, separating themselves from the group.
In any case, due to the mysterious light, all the characters have been whisked away to various locations (each of which 'conveniently' has a burning torch nearby). They have been separated into four groups:
Group 1: Christa, Urg, Bucky, Abner
Group 2: Isaac, Klaud, Zora, Clayton, Roger Krugman
Group 3: Raw Onion, Top Man, Pinocchio, Lyra, Grobdum
Group 4: IRIS, Rictoffen, Grave, Crow, Jan
Your objective is to try and make your way out of the temple. Needless to say, many traps and dark creatures lurk inside its hallways. The group that does the best will receive a special reward.
