I was thinking one of two things.
Either, while unconnected to a host, she is easily killed if caught (by light based power). If she is connected to a host body, then an opponent must kill the body to kill her, and she cannot body jump during combat, at least not to unwilling hosts; (With this, I was thinking that she could jump to an ally as either fusion, or just to ride them around and attack independent of them). And if she does jump, her original host body would drop limp like a corpse, with no shadow attached to it period; (Leaving it open for attack). This is the preferred one.
Or, that if one were to attack the shadow of a host body, they would damage Shade directly as she is now the actual shadow of the host body.
