New World Hope
#2
Six, feeling her feet on the ground again, didn't even bother to look at the strange figure in front of her now. Simply clutching at her torso, the Courier found whatever wound she had just moments ago was surprisingly dry, seeing how there was supposed to be a gaping shotgun wound there. 'Supposed to be,' the Courier thought to herself again, before opening her eyes, and looking down to see nothing on her body even scratched or scathed.

The Courier's legs began to get wobbly in confusion. Sure, she had the Monocyde breeder to help regenerate her wounds faster, but at least her clothes would have been damaged... Six felt at one of her sides, not feeling the cuts in her skin that were there even before that shotgun blast. Hell, even her hat was still on her head, which she didn't even know was still there until just now.

Needless to say, she was perfectly fine, but... taking another moment to look around, all Six could feel was even more worrying confusion as she saw how blank this place was. Pure, pitch black, nothing else for miles, except for that lone sitting figure, seemingly right in the middle with an ominous white glow. He wasn't moving at all, but Six could see him getting closer and closer making her feel like she was hopped up on Jet, and she couldn't do anything but watch this almost drug-trip of a scene take place.

It took a few moments of awkward silence, and a feeling of pacifism and constraint that was all too familiar with the Courier, seeing as she went through almost this exact same thing a while back, just in a different way. Shaking her head, the Courier went wide-eyed at the sudden realization of this man's smile, and the more she looked, the more Six even doubted he was human at all. It was then he spoke, almost as if he had no voice at all, but at the same time, all of the voices one could imagine at once.

Omni Wrote:"My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse."

Yep, 'definitely familiar,' the Courier thought to herself as she listened into this Omni. She had no questions to ask, and yet, it was as if he knew everything she'd want to know. This Omni person seemed a bit too friendly, and seeing how the entire place is practically named after him, she could only wonder of the implications that brought, many of them soon being answered by Omni himself.

Omni Wrote:"You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully."

Oh yes, the Courier has interested a lot of people, but this Omni seemed much, much different than all the rest. As if she was... lower than him. A thought she wasn't comfortable with at all. All of his words about wishes seemed too promising to trust. That idea itself especially conflicted with the idea that there were rules in the first place, but this Omni didn't seem to care, his smirk almost growing wider as soon as the Courier finished her thoughts.

Before this Omni continued to speak however, his palm raised upwards, a shining orb filled with all the glistening colors of a rainbow flowing and changing within the strange sphere of energy. The Courier's eyes widened at the sight, not sure if she had seen anything like it. Instinctively, Six put one of her arms forward slightly as the orb dissolved into a steady stream, flowing into the Courier's veins, and... disappearing. Six didn't know what exactly just happened, but whatever it was, it felt empowering.

Omni Wrote:"This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

The Courier's eyebrow crooked at Omni's explanation. It definitely wasn't anything she was used to, but it made her think a bit. There's no way 'whatever you desired most' was true, there had to be a catch to it. After all, no matter how powerful you may have been, there still had to be some effort into getting what you want. Besides, the Courier could admit she didn't feel too different.

Omni Wrote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn."

Before the Courier even got a second to think about those few words, her vision faded in the midst of a sudden wave of flashbacks in that mere mention of the word 'reborn.' Six couldn't help but remember those few short moments before the very second she got shot in the head and was left buried alive in the middle of nowhere. Waking up after that, it felt so fresh, and yet so confusing at the same time.

Omni Wrote:"That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

Shaking her head, the Courier, almost hopping into a jog towards Omni, desperately attempted to speak. Though her efforts were great, it was to no avail, her sense of sight quickly leaving her, and the only thing she could notice from then on was the overwhelming force of gravity pulling her down into a seemingly endless abyss.

It took a while, but the horrid groggy feeling aching at her muscles, which was all too familiar to Six, forced her eyes open. This time however, her eyes were stung by the blinding white light above her, almost expecting to wake back up in some sort of room. Needless to say, the fact that her feet was soaking wet gave her a different hypothesis on the situation at hand.

Slowly looking down, the Courier could see herself ankle-deep in water, sitting on a single rock in the form of a very roughly outlined 'chair.' Groaning, Six tried to get up, only stopping, mesmerized by how shiny the water itself looked. It looked so clean, and somewhat magical to her. Shaking her head, the Courier quickly got herself up off of the tiny rock in which she sat on, the liquid splashing at her sudden movements.

Looking around, all Six could see is that she was in the middle of some sort of rocky spring, the rock in which she sat on leaning up against a huge wall of rocks, towering in comparison to the rest of the land holding in this small fountain. She didn't notice it at first, but the Courier looked at both of her sides, seeing two little waterfalls parallel to each other, making for quite the scene.

Sighing, the Courier figured it was about time she'd stop sightseeing and get moving. It didn't take long for her to hop out over the fountain itself, only taking one look behind her before her eyes were met by the sudden realization that she was stepping on nothing but a white, blank canvas of a floor. Her feet felt the solid ground beneath her, but her eyes and brain were working together to tell her body otherwise, adding up to a very trippy experience, almost literally.

Deciding to look up again, Six observed her surroundings, seeming to scan the area as she adjusted her clothes, mask and hat. A puzzled look on the Courier's face began to form as she saw what looked to be about eight or so gates off in the distance, and the faint sound of a few individuals talking to one another. The more she looked, the more she could see that each and every one of these gates had a special theme to them, and the quite colorful cast of people, and... things, surrounding her area.

Taking a few moments to look on her Pip-boy, she noticed the gates themselves marked on each point of her compass. Strange, but even weirder was the moment in which she switched to her Items category, finding her carry weight and weapons almost completely gone, save for the few she used the most. The sight of this made her clench her fist in annoyance, groaning as she realized this must have been the work of that damned Omni fellow.

Sighing, the Courier figured it was about damn time she started a new road to travel, and hopefully it would be one to remember. Chuckling to herself, Six stretched outwards, and began to walk towards the nearest being or thing she could interact with.

"I really need to stop getting myself caught in these rather... interesting situations," Six quipped to herself, continuing to walk into what she assumed would be a brand new chapter in her life.
